Parking assistant, both parallel and diagonal, is already available in the US as an option. It is the remote parking feature that is not available in the US yet.

In this review you used the G12 model which is the fully loaded model. It is easy to say this is better when you didn't see the full potential of the competition. That's sort of cheating lol.

Great car but not impressed with the plastic door compartment/storage in the front seats and I'm guessing it's the same in the rear. Then u didn't mention the Lexus Ls as a competitor to this car, I'm wondering why? even the Jaguar Xj autobiography offers more attention to detail than this car I'm sorry to say. The Range Rover autobiography with rear executive seat package is also better than What's in this car as well. This slightly has more tech no doubt than most cars have but really u should never compare this car to a Rolls Royce Ghost. They aren't in the same league, the Rolls has never been all about technology or gadgets but is masterpiece at luxury and attention to details. The wood finish here is very cheap compared to the Rolls and the aluminium here is brushed aluminium. The choice of materials and craftsmanship in a Rolls way ahead and the interior design of how the wood blends with leather from the console to the doors seamlessly matching the same colour scheme is unrivalled. The attention to details in a Rolls and luxury materials used is light years ahead of this and u should never ever forget branding is everything.

I didn't mention the Lexus LS because, honestly, I forgot about it. That said, the reason why I forgot about it was because it's so forgettable. It might have solid build quality, luxury, etc. but at the end of the day it's years behind the BMW. But honestly, I didn't find the wood trim in this to be cheap at all. And I've been in several Rolls as well. Bottom line: BMW moved the 7 Series upmarket for this generation in a way it never did before.

CarBuzz - Unboxing Everyday Cars and Supercars I don't agree with u though that the Ls is forgettable, apart from a few tech features there's nothing in the Bmw that isn't in the Ls. Remember there are Ls 600 and460 with bamboo wood and so many quality materials as well. I agree the Ls needs a new generation and we'll see it next year and I'm sure it'll take out the competition. I read somewhere it may not even have side mirrors and there'll be cameras in place of the side mirrors. That would be a world first and crazily innovative, let's wait and see if they actually implement that with so much more I have read.
