2016 BMW X5M vs. 2024 BMW X5M (What's changed)

Awesome video! I just got my 2024 X5M comp last week. Absolutely love it just have to get used to the updated screen and loads of tech/features. I was expecting the ride to be harsh from all the videos I have watched, but for what it is and also an M it rides smooth

if you like where BMW is going with their interior design and screen n stuff, then the new. I you want a more engaging drive and IMO better styling then the older model is where its at. I love my F85 X5M and I'm sure you will have fun with either! good luck on your search!

I am good with my 2017 X5M. There were some nice updates for the 2024 but nothing to push me to the new car price. The biggest thing is the engine but mine is no slouch. Of course, if price were not a consideration, then 2024.

I have a 2022 x5 comp and I do love it, the 2024 and 2025 switch to the horizontal front grill really bugs me for some reason, I dont like it and wish they went back to the vertical grill

@@civilenggggg Yeah, I agree, I prefer the vertical grill. I am in the market for a new X5M, I really liked it. Some bad driver totaled my X5m, so now shopping for a new one. I will probably stick to an older model because I can't afford a new one. Hopefully I can find one with less miles than the one I had. .

new gen is sweet - it's near perfect only issue I have is the screens replacing buttons specifically volume and temp controls

I just picked up a 2017 about 6 months ago and this is my new favorite car out of MANY I have owned. What exhaust are you running? The factory exhaust is just not V8 sounding enough for me. Also, would be nice to list all the mods you have installed under the hood. It also loos like you got the car wrapped and the paint is white? My first mod has been the RaceChip and you can tell when its dialed up to 7 and it seems like you really never have to get past a 1/4 throttle to do what you need to do on the highway. I got the RC because I did a pull with a 2023 RSQ8 and he was starting to pull away. Still looking for that guy to do another pull now ;)

How is the 2024 500lbs lighter? Try its heavier. Its 5600lbs. The 2016 is 5200. No idea where you are getting your info from.

Only thing u hate about the older one is the quality of the leather... they wear out fast.. the driver seats always f..ed up

Are you serious about fitting in this?. How tall are?.😀. My wife just got the 2025 straight 6 with the optional seat adjuster. And am 6’3”. And I do just fine with more room to adjust the seat.

i think both are nice. they have their good and bad. i personally like every x5 and i thought new facelift made the x5 look crosseyed. the pre facelift of the 4th gen was my favorite then second gen and then first gen then by default the 3rd gen. i mean overall as a suv cause there wasn't a x5 m with the first gen. i think your interior is way better then his. his almost looks like someone is going to play video games with all due respect. both are badass though overall. my sister in law has a bmw x6 m and it's probably just me but since its launch in 2008 i can't tell the difference between one gen to another. they all look like beans with wheels. if they could take your front lights and rear lights and his car's body then it would be better
