2016 Buick Encore valve cover replacement

I have 2018 Buick encore,I don't know what happened but the display shows engine power reduced and won't drive or reverse ...any idea what that might be

Hey there! I’ve never experienced this problem on this vehicle but I have on others. It sounds like the PCM detected some kind of issue that it thinks is serious, and it has basically shut your car down. It’s commonly referred to as limp mode. The best thing to start with would probably be getting a decent OBD 2 scanner and scanning the codes and see what shows up.

How did you get the little circle gromets to stay in place?

To be honest I don’t completely remember how I did, but generally if you’re having trouble with the gasket falling off while trying to install, you can put a small amount of the oil resistant gasket maker on the gasket to stick it to the valve cover to help it stay in place while installing.

Takes E sockets not an 8 mm js

Yes it does, 8mm works if you don’t have those if you’re careful. as was the case for me.

If u can't see the orange part in the pcv valve can u just use something to patch up the lil hole
