That's great! I'm glad they have arrived. Mine took a while to get to me, because I got them when they were still in production. I installed them myself, with an exhaust cutter tool I rented (basically borrowed, since you get the money back) from my local auto parts store. Measure twice, cut once! That was the hardest part of the install... and it wasn't very hard....

Only on some downshifts, it's not super crackly... but I don't ride around with my windows down very often either and as you know the car is super quiet inside, so it's possible there are more I"m not hearing.

After it has been on the car for a bit, yes, it does have some nice crackle. It didn't at first, though.

I got my Atak installed on my V6 camaro today. Sounds better than stock but definitely not worth the 700 + I spent. If I had it to do over I would have went with the MRT for half the price.

Hey I know you answered this a while ago but would love to know now too, do you get crackles and pops? If so is there a lot? Are they loud? Is it only when you rev or when you're driving too? Is there a certain way to drive or certain RPM to get more crackles and pops? My favorite thing about exhaust are the crackles and pops and I haven't read anywhere about this on this car yet so I'd love to hear it from your experience 😁

I get crackles on downshift, generally at higher RPM's from 3-2 downshift (I have a manual). In past cars, I've experienced them happening more on cars with longtubes.... and those are probably never going to happen for this car due to the block design (integrated headers)... so I'm not sure with "wear in" that it will change much, although I don't put too many miles on the car due to my job.... So perhaps that is coming in time. Car's still a baby. 4300 mi. Exhaust has been on since 1600 mi.

The Jag sounds nothing like this car because that's a high-winder and just sounds completely different, though I've only heard them externally, at idle and at accelleration. I normally get a couple of crackles as it goes from high RPMs to lower ones, but nothing like a bunch of cracks and pops. Really only ever heard that with longtubes + exhaust. This sounds way better than I thought a V6 Camaro could ever sound, but it's not going to sound like a V8 or like an $82k+ luxury sports car (though, my buddy has one, and while flashy, I don't like the exhaust note as much as my car. Not being cocky, just a preference. The Jag sounds damn good).

And was the install easy? Or did you take it to a muffler shop? Did you need to weld anything? Can you explain because I'm really looking into buying one but not sure if I could put them on myself.

Super easy (even for a girl). Borla sends highly detailed instructions. I rented an exhaust cutter from O'Reilly's ($25 deposit you get back when you return it)... Measure twice, cut once. All the other parts you need are included in the kit, other than maybe a screwdriver and a couple wrenches. No welds necessary. All clamps. No rattles or leaks, either.

NPP or non NPP? Automatic or manual transmission? I've heard that this makes a difference on the sound, not sure if it's true though. How's the sound inside the car? How was the installation, any issues?

Mine isn't NPP; I wouldn't want to pay for NPP then tear it off to put another exhaust on, so I just bought stock plain everything because I know I want to mod things and I'd rather not pay extra for the way the factory wanted it done if I'm just going to uninstall it if that makes sense. Shifting certainly does affect the sound when you're moving, not at idle, though. Mine is a manual. Sound inside the car is great, no drone, can still listen to the radio no problem (though I really don't need to, the car makes nice noises now). Easy install.

with the ataks on, is there an annoying amount of noise inside the car? i just got the 2017 rs and plan on getting a new exhaust like the ataks but i'd like to know first from someone who has them how it sounds from inside

No, actually it's quite quiet in the inside. I was sort of surprised because like you, I didn't want to have too much noise. Sometimes I open the windows to hear more! LOL. I'd say the noise is satisfying but not overpowering. I can easily jam out to some music (and not have the volume up very far at all), or have a normal conversation without raising my voice (Unless I'm really getting on the throttle), etc. Normal driving it is nice and quiet inside, but you can make it sound mean when you want to.

Matthew, you're quite welcome. Yes, I was initially a bit surprised that it wasn't louder in the cabin. The noise is unobtrusive - even the family doesn't mind it :)

Chilleeman hi! Because this exhaust does not eliminate or re route any sensors, it doesn’t mess with the CEL at all! Hope this helps!

FlyGirl update I got rear ended, the plastic part is damaged so I’m going to have the quad exhaust part from gm put on and try to get this exhaust or one like it that’s quad. Thanks for the info

Bumblebee RS imo, dual tips will only really make an appearance difference. Maybe a slight sound difference you would have to stand behind it to even hear but I doubt much of that even. But unequivocally, yes it was 100 percent worth it. Smile every time I start the car, every time I hit the throttle and every single time I downshift. Made me love the car even more.

Bumblebee RS i went with the quad tips. I originally had dual like this, but changed my valance and got the quad tip atak w/o npp, and it's honestly worth every penny. Check out my video, I shot a quick one with an iPhone. It sounds amazing.

Just the axleback. I would have done headers and all but the V6 and its inbuilt headers ruined that, so I went with what was available at the time. :)

No lights, it's just an axle-back system, so there's no O2 sensor or catalytic converter involvement.

It shouldn't, it's just an axleback. Guess it depends on how picky your dealer is. TBH for me to use my warranty, my engine or transmission would have to grenade, so I wasn't all that concerned for my own car. It had 1600 mi on it when I installed it and I still have yet to take it to a dealer for them to notice or say anything; but again, I doubt it.
