Threw a check engine on mine (unplugged battery then hooked it back up and plugged the battery in....no check engine to report currently). 👍👍 car sounds great

Hey Robert. Throughout our testing and development, engine lights were not an issue. Just install, start it up, and your all set :).

Just installed mine. But got a CEL. After driving it around the CEL went away. This is very typical for all CAI. As if this will void the warranty, it will not. Unless the dealer is a total dick about it.

How do you get the Ccv hose to reconnect because when I put mine on, it just slides back off and it is super lose and it’s the one that you have to use the pins or whatever to get off

You'll need to depress the 2 retaining clips inside the hose fitting to release that hose.

Hey Jeffrey. This is a great question. Typically, warranties are handled on a dealer by dealer basis. Best way to get an idea how your local dealership responds to light modifications such as an intake would be to give them a quick call and see how they respond to the situation. You'll usually be able to tell what that dealership thinks of aftermarket mods instantly.

We included the tools with the kit. However this a quick disconnect, you should be able to find the tool at your local auto part store

do I need to disconnect the battery before installing?

The battery can remain connected for the intake installation, just make sure the "key" is in the off position or it will set a MAF code when the sensor is disconnected.

You amy be able to use small flathead screwdrivers but we recommend using the provided tools.
