This Video was what I used to replace my blinker switch. It started out when I bought Ford F150 XLT to working ~30% to rarely working. I looked for replacement switches and all of the Ebay ones were used and they wanted >$75. I pulled the bad switch to get the number on it because I got so many different ones. The number on the label on the switch said ML3T-13K359-AEW which no one had so I went to the local dealer. The number on the new one from the dealer is ML3Z-13K359-AA. Tested and works every time so far. Best part of going to the dealer was it was $48.67, so try them first. They looked mine up via the Vin#.

@@psjr1 I’m glad the video helped! Really was a pretty simple task. Failing switches is a pain in the but. Some of my steering wheel controls are starting to act up now.

Extremely good video. Just did my 2016. May not matter, but I spent and extra $15 to get the Motorcraft product over Advance Auto Carquest branded switch. They had both in stock. BTW, dealer quote was $146.99 for the switch and 221.76 labor, June 2024. Saved me a bunch of $$$. Thanks.

I’m glad my video helped you! Yeah dealers are crazy with pricing! I just fixed my sunroof and saved over $1500. I was in less than $70 with that fix and took me and a friend like 1 hour. Mostly because we had to figure out how to swap tracks.

We’re your screw t20 or t10?
@CalPil0t3 ай бұрын
@@maguilar51 t10 I believe. It was a small one in a set that had interchangeable bits, but it was not marked with it's size. My next project will be the rear power sliding window and defrost. I'm told it may be a regulator issue even though motor will open it a few inches. May need something done with the cable. Defrost connectors are also broken off the glass.

Straight forward instructions and an easy repair. However, on my 2016 F150 XLT the three bolts holding the plastic pieces to the steering column take a 5.5 mm socket.

Thanks! Mine might have been a 5.5mm but didn’t have it.

Socket size depends on the options on your truck. My 2018 Lariat, with power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, has 7mm bolts. The power tilt switch has to be removed also, since it overlaps the bottom of the multifunction switch. It's also held on with a T10 screw, and it clips in. Otherwise, everything is the same.

7/32" socket fit mine, which is 5.56 mm.

Great Video, Thanks. I replaced mine also, because the wipers would not stop running. Bought mine from AutoZone. Fixed the wiper problem, but now the turn signal will not turn off once you make a turn. You mentioned about "Momentary"?

Thanks! Did you make sure your switch was exactly the same? There are 2 different styles. Sounds like yours is missing the switch that kicks it back when you turn the wheel?

Sorry to reply to myself!!!! But I think what happened was I got the wrong part#. Apparently, there is a different part number if you have "Rain Sensing" wipers. Getting the other one tomorrow. Interesting! Hopefully that does the trick.

@@DeWaltRadialguy yep that’s the difference.

Any idea how to get the volume controls on the steering wheel to work I just bought a 2015 ford F150 XLT and the volume controls on the steering wheel don’t work as well as the voice command on that same side I assume it’s a cluster but I haven’t found a video with the solution yet any help would be greatly appreciated

Great video, easy fix. Anyone else's have some large amount of puddy/white cream on the connector? What's that for?
@Tyler_5.42 жыл бұрын
I did too, I think it's a form of dielectric grease of some sort

9-32 doesn’t fit my 2016 Ford F-150 column. It’s smaller than that, and the only dang size I don’t have.

This reply is probably a little late but try a 5.5mm socket.
@cscientific60779 ай бұрын
Even latter than Jeffery, it's 7/32" SAE. 7/32" = 5.55625 mm. I didn't have a 9/32" either or a 5.5mm, but after I saw a different video that called for a 7/32" I did the math (well goggle did) and figured the guy misspoke in this video.
