it's outdated just like you. most people drive pickup trucks now a days, and a crossover as the main family vehicle. it's not about being big and bold, and there not as safe as you think they are. id rather have the Chevy Traverse or Nissan pathfinder, your much better protected than you think you are. but no matter how protected you think you are you can still die in any vehicle, you just have to drive responsibly when your out on the road.

I just traded my 2010 toyota camry for a used 2015 ford expedition el and I love it. I was very suprised with the excelleration. I gotta tell yah for a 6,000 pound truck, it can move. Awesome video!

The gas mileage is the same always even though it has a 3.5L. My old 2002 expedition did 15.7 city and 21 going on the interstate at 65-70

This SUV desperately needs a make over... Outside needs slicks design front and rear lights it needs a new slick body design as as society moves on we have this demand for futuristic and modern looking vehicles and with that thought I would expect for to gain there demand for the expedition if they went all digital like every other automotive company is doing now and days along with slick design on the interior as a posed to all that bulky stuff they have on the interior... IMO a similar model to compare it to would be the Lincoln MKX

I had a 2001 f150 2x4 with the 5.4l crew cab short bed and I got over 20 mpg highway on that truck the 5.4l on the expedition should get close to the mpg this gets I know it's not way lower I have a 2019 f250 6.2l crew cab long bed 4x4 and I get 14 to 16 mpg average and I get over 17 mpg highway

I agree that the exterior styling is really dated - looks the same as they did in the early 2000s. Interior wise - it looks pretty well refreshed. You don't have any of that dark grey interior colors that ford was so infatuated with in the1990s and 2000s and the head unit and gauge cluster looks pretty modern.

Zachary Crocker i must disagree. when it comes to luxury, refinement, and fit and finish its a joke. that thing is so far behind the competition. everything inside is utilitarian, no refinement and look at it, the least aesthetically pleasing.....i mean that thing is a dinosaur.

KEINOMADDONE Pulls like a dinosaur too. I would not call it utilitarian, I would call it pratical and easy to clean in everyday life which includes kids, school, sports, and so on. And it's plenty luxurious, just as many features, just rapped in a easy to clean family proof design. My dashboard gets really dirty, the plastic is a lot easier to clean and take care of, just wipes off, no leather treatment, doesn't stain. The QX80 has so many leathery, shiney, chrome surfaces inside that would look like shit dirty and are too hard to deal with. The bottom line is that he asked the difference between a Tahoe and expedition not Infiniti. Expedition is better.

+Jed Knutson Yes it's a 4.5 rating, but the Expedition is still one of the best in the Full Size SUV class because mainly of it's 3.5 L Twin Turbo V6 and it's independent rear suspension. It's still a great full size SUV mainly because of the fundamentals, but it's styling on the inside and out is just dated.

i disagree with that 4.5 star rating. that's the top of line platinum trim level. i could see if it was the xlt or something, cause i give that atleast 4 stars. but when the top of the line platinum has hard touch plastic on the dash and where you rest your elbows on the door is a fail in my book, especially when the truck is $67k. i does have leather seats, but that's about the only nice thing it has going for it. so for me it's a 3.5 star rating.

Navigator no doubt. More expensive. But more design. More modern. Better fuel economy and towing. Better for your money's worth when you get 80,000$ worth of stuff in a 70,000$ navigator. Instead of 40,000$ worth of stuff on a 60,000$ expedition.

+Camerons Car Reviews Suspension definitely, but engine, no way...... I can't find one explanation why. Little more HP can't possibly make up for all points against, not to mention turbos will get you that HP only in less rpm range vs simple bigger displacement. You have overworking more expansive engine which can't possibly last same as v8 and more moving parts (each turbo costs 800 bucks), while you get same or worse fuel economy when towing. They say that you getting v6 millage, what a playing with words, every v6 fleet truck i used had worse mpg then v8s. I liked a lot our v6 fleet Ford truck and Fords in general, i just believe strongly that they screwed up with this engine. Turbocharged diesels are in different category, but they do make much more sense.

unfortunately, car has a lot of design drawback..for example, rear Door Belt Weatherstrips are not sealing, there is a gap which allows mud and water to enter leading to glass window to be scratched when lowering and lifting the glass.. other issue, moon roof rattles when driving on unpaved road also not sealed enough and area got rusted..

looks like its from the early 2000 in terms of design and the interior is simply disgustingly cheap and this is the top of the line trim as well, not to mention that eco boost TTV6 under load is disappointing getting worse MPG and less durable than the comparable V8... should have let customers option in the 5.0 V8.... under load those TTv6's simply get some of the worst MPG in class for those who use theirs for towing.
