It's a great question but if you got a truck in general your not really going to get great gas mileage and then you change tires and rims wont make a huge difference in gas mileage drop, you can always get a performance chip and cold air to get some of the gas mileage back, great job and putting in the work.

You mentioned you had to "do some cutting" to make the tail lights work. I love those tail lights and cannot find one's that are made for canyons. Can you post a video or description of what you needed to modify to make them work.

Hey man for a HS kid you are really on your way with some good mods . I have a 2016 Z-71 CC 2WD with a 6" Rough Countrysuspension lift, cat back exhaust with stainless tips. Chrome Ultra Predator II 20" wheels on 33" street tires and a RiPP Supercharger under the hood. It bangs out 409 rear wheel HP. 370 ft. lbs. of torque and is instantaneous power thatwill smoke my 33's . Save up or RiPP will finance. If you want a Canyon that will out perform a Sierra or Silverado V-8it's a great way to go. I want fender flares for my Forrest Green Metallic and have them painted. Some flares are $500painted. Do a video on how to install them and cover how they are fastened and show how to not have any gaps. Howmuch to paint all 4 professionally. Look forward to it .

Everyone’s price is different, you’ll have to find someone near you that can tune it. Same with my Tahoe, I had 2 different guys give me 2 different prices to do the same thing

I got a black 2015 GMC Canyon all terrain edition crew cab, completely stock. I’ve been looking to make some lighting, looks, and performance upgrade. Anything you suggest going for? Or staying away from?

For lighting I would definitely try black label from custom offsets or rough country. They are both good brands that arent super expensive. For performance I would probably get a tune of some sort and a cold are intake. No point in getting an exhaust. The V6 will never sound good lol.

I've got a diesel Colorado and want to do a 4 inch rough country lift on 33's but want to keep the wheel size 17, foes anybody have any experience with this, I'm also curious how much cutting would be necessary to fit the tires P.s that is one beautiful truck you've got there

You could fit a 17” wheel, but depends on the offset of it, because you need to be able to clear the caliper. The amount of trimming you would have to to would also depend on the offset. If it’s a positive offset wheel you will likely have little to no trimming

I got a 2018 Colorado with 6 in lift and running 35x12.50 I get 13 mpg.... if you want big tires it cost somewhere... gas.. but worth it

How do those 35’s fit with the 6 inch lift? Does it run a lot and what offset are your wheels?

Northern Lifts not sure about offset but they stick out about 2 1/2 inches and they don’t scrub at all it is the ZR2 so the front bumper doesn’t come down as low as normal my email is [e-mail] if you want some pictures let me know. I don’t know how to post videos on KZbin

Yeah I did realign my head lights just to be safe, however I probably could have got away without realigning them. And no I recalibrated my Speedometer so it was still accurate even after the bigger tires.

Only thing id change is that bull bar. Id have it color matched to the paint. That dull matt black sticks out a lot compared to everything else. And wrap the plastic door pillars on the Exterior gloss black

Overall the RC lift is pretty solid for how much you are paying. It’s a lifted truck so the ride isn’t gonna be as smooth as it is when it’s stock. I never had any problems with the truck vibrating or shaking on the highway. The only minor issue I had was my steering wheel would occasionally shake around 50 mph. This was off and on though. The shaking was minor and never really bugged me. That could’ve been from how wide my wheels were though. Hard to tell but I would let something like that stop you from lifting your truck.

It’s a 4wd, and tbh the ride isn’t bad at all. For a Rough country lift the ride is comparable to stock and not as bad as you would think. The loss of power is pretty significant, I have it tuned but to really fix that you would need to re-gear it with the bigger tires I have.

Yeah so the 4” rough country lift was about 1000 dollars shipped to my door and it was tax free. The wheels were about $250 dollars per wheel and the tires we about $250 per tire. The tail lights, head lights and 3rd brake lights were all together about $1000. The rough country bull bar was about 250 dollars. The fender flares were about 250, but to get them color matched was about another 200-300 dollars. I got a tune for it but unless you get 35” tires or bigger I would worry about that. The 2” bora spacers were 300$ for 4 of them. Window tint was about 100$. The sound system I put in was about 1000$ also. Other than that, that’s about all I’ve done so far. If you have any more suggestions or questions I’d be happy to answer them.

Yeah if I could redo it I would buy the headlights, I would probably just tint the stock ones a little. It’s a lot cheaper and they will look much better.
