What are the numbers for your wheel and tire package? I have a 2018 and I'm fixn do the same thing to mine. Just don't know how big of a tire I can put on without rubbing.

with running this lift and tire set up do you rub at all lock to lock? if so whats needed to be trimmed, do you need to run a 2inch wheel spacer or will a 1.5 work? looking to lift my truck soon just trying to collect info anywhere I can thanks

I rub at full lock both sides, but that is strictly from my spacers. You don’t have to run any spacers at all with these wheels, if you choose not to run them you will hardly rub at all. I run them purely for ascetics. If you choose to run them I would go with at least 1.75” spacers, anything smaller you will have to cut your lugs.

If I remember correctly the only cutting I had to do was on the factory cross members, but they provide templates so you know exactly where to cut.

Some people have said once you put bigger tires and a lift kit on the steering wheel vibrates. Have you noticed any vibration in the steering wheel?

i have the 4" lift in my colorado and have the annoying steering wheel wobble that drives me crazy

@@Scottie_70 I had the 4in lift installed on my 15 canyon and also had bad steering wheel feedback on highway, and mainly while turning. The fix for me was using a buddies Hunter alignment machine to program my electronic steering rack to zero position to account for the new wheels and tires/the changed geometry of vehicle. It put my canyon back to its factory ride. I had taken it to my GMC dealership's service dept who advised me that they reset the steering rack, taking them on their word I figured that's just how these trucks handle the lift/bigger wheels and tires, glad I used a hunter machine. Hope this helps other's who are experiencing that terrible steering wheel shake.

I love the rough country lift kit for this truck. Yeah you could get the bds one but it’s way to expensive. This kit is only about $1000, you can’t beat that. And yes I am planning on adding new adjustable coil overs because the rc kit only came with extensions for the originals front coils. I am hoping to get about 2-3 more inches of lift from the new struts

Not too difficult, I wouldn’t recommend it if you don’t have some sort of decent lift.

Honestly not sure, the instructions for the lift called for them to be that way. I would agree most other lifts have them the other way. I think it just depends on the shock.

I put about 15k miles on the truck with the kit before I sold it. But no, I’m the time I had it I had no issues. My only complaint was it rode a little rough but that’s gonna be any lift kit in that price range. I thought it was a great kit for the money and it was fun installing it.

No steering wheel vibration, just don’t expect it to ride as smooth as stock did. It feels more like a heavy dusty truck in that it’s not very smooth over bumps

Lift was about $1000 and the wheels and tires were about $2000, so about $3000 total for the wheels, tires, and lift

20x9 fuel grenades with +18 offset, but I have 2 inch spacers and 285/55r20 Nitto ridge grapplers. They are about 32.5” tall and 11.5” wide

The rub slightly at full lock and that’s only when I’m going up an incline at an angle, I also had to do some moderate plastic trimming. Keep in mind this was after adding the 2”’spacers without those the tires won’t rub with very minor trimming.

@@northernlifts5564 thanks for the reply I'm going to be doing this kit pretty soon but there are still a few concerns that I have with the kit. Rough country reccomend on website to pair with 285/65 r18 with 0 offset and 5 inch backspacing. But when I downloaded the instructions it only says that you can only fit a 275 and I really dont wanna do that. Do you think if I use the 18x9 wheel with 0 offset do you think they will rub still. I already plan on buying the fender liner relocation kit for the front

@AtomicToastCat, if you do a wheel with 0 offset you are gonna have many more options when it comes to tire size. From what I have seen on my truck and others with that offset I wouldn’t go much bigger than 33” tall and 11.5” wide. I’m not sure what that is in a metric size for an 18” wheel but you can find a converter online. Also I’ve never seen a fender liner relocation kit in person however in my opinion for this purpose it is not needed. You can do the trimming behind the liner on your own and still make it look good. But if the kit is cheap then yeah I would do it. You can find plenty of videos of people trimming their liners on their 1500’s and it is very similar for a Canyon/Colorado.

It’s just a basic Rough Country bull bar. I think it’s a universal fit so it will go on most trucks. It’s about $250 I think.
