Sorry for Dima but technically speaking, you just can't prove a 1/4 cracked ball was necessarily caused by the edge of a racket. The ball could be partially wrecked before Fan touched it. Double happiness needs more efforts to improving the quality to avoid this embarrassment. What a spectacular match for this year.

Of course it hit the edge of the bat. Are you completely blind or not a player. It was obvious to any player that it hit the edge of the bat. It should have been equally obvious to the umpire.

In my oppinion it was dima's point. Fan hit the ball with the border of his racket. It's really emberassing for dima because if he's leading 3:0 the pressure is maybe to big for fan. But great match, both players played very well.

The ruling about the cracked ball is a disgrace regardless of who won. This is the worst rule i have ever seen and is completely unfair for the player who has gained the upper hand and effectively won the point and then is robbed of it by the umpire. The minute percent of balls that would go on the table after hitting the edge of the racquet definitely do not deserve a let being called. As i said- this ruling is completely illogical and against fair play in the rally.
