Could not agree with you more about CB1000R engine lacking character and arguably being little bit boring ( If we can call any liter bike boring ) I bought 2014 CB one year ago and I knew this was going to be a problem. I came across such comments from many reviews including yours. I got the bike anyways and I solved the problem pretty easily. First of all even though It has full Yoshimura exhaust on it it still did not sound properly. My friends Hornet 600 sounded much much better. So I bought the Danmoto catalytic converter delete kit, put Bazzaz ZFi fuel controller and K&N high airflow air filter. After this mods I took it for dyno tuning to adjust fueling and make sure bike ran properly. Results were unbelievable. First of all bike sounds like a seventies F1 car, it now makes 153hp at the crank, it is lighter and whats most important dyno tuning just made everything better on the bike like throttle control and bike revs easier and happier :) Anyways - trust me on this one , if you do those modifications this bike becomes a real real bad boy. check out the sound: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZ26gK2KbNeoeqM. I just record with GoPro so sound is nowhere near as clear as your videos. Any future CB owners consider this mods seriously ;) Safe ride everyone.

Great ride and video! 👌 This character thing is something I have never understood. Motorcycle journalists often say a engine is too linear, meaning that it's boring. I test rode some bikes which supposedly lack character and I really loved them. I also test rode some bikes which supposedly have a lot of character and I loved them too, but without being especially amazed by their engines... 🤨 Maybe I don't have enough character myself! 😉

Hello my friend! As usual your comments are full of substance and bring very relevant information. The last few years I have driven Yamaha MT-09. Unfortunately I recently had to sell it and now I am thinking about a new motorcycle for next spring. The main problems with Yamaha MT-09 was in connection with throttle control, very cheap suspension, and very aggressive engine break. The bike temperament instead give me a lot of satisfaction. I never ride Honda CBR 1000 RR so I need your advice to choose between them two. I would be very grateful if you would honestly tell me what you would choose in my please. thank you and I wish you a very nice day

@blipco56 жыл бұрын
Changing out the OEM tires for something better (in my case the Conti Road Attack 3) on the z900 has a profound effect on the way the bike handles and feels. For super fast riding or if you're heavy, suspension work needs to be done but that is typical of most of these budget naked bikes.

@ragemode50976 жыл бұрын
@mehdibb41866 жыл бұрын
i had one of these and i found the front end a bit too light and borderline unstable at speeds - not to mention the mediocre OEM tires .
