Sin Nin Wang If you research more of EVERY CAR, you can surely discover some faults. Mercs have lots of electrical issues too. A faultfinder will never have anything positive to say.
@sinninwang48337 жыл бұрын
David Chai. Before getting a merc, I've already anticipated all the maintenance and replacement costs. When people see the three-pointed star emblem, they just think to themselves; this bugger (i.e. me) can afford to pay for all these cost under such brand with unreliable history. Replacing a headlamp alone you need a software unit to link it to Germany. How troublesome it is to own a Merc? It is through all these repairs and workshop visits that I developed more acute sense of parts in automobile. Turbochargers from VW can fail. What makes you think turbochargers on a japanese car manufacturer won't fail ? They didn't even tell you the full story. Turbochargers need time to wind down (not time to start up). When the engine stops, you still need some delay for the turbochargers to stop gradually. This is more critical than "start the engine from the outside". When turbo fails, the whole car won't budge. This fault will definitely happen and you will know it when the market is flooded with many current owners dumping their faulty turbo civic.
@sinninwang48337 жыл бұрын
David Chai Do you want to know why a stupid person like me want to buy and keep a mercedes benz despite its poor reliability on its electronics and expensive spare parts replacement and exorbitant maintenance costs? Here's the reason. Only one. I survived two car crashes and walked out alive. Both were benz and I was unharmed, totally not injured from horrific accidents. The other parties were in some Japanese branded cars which were turned into instant mashed potatoes. They walked out with head injuries and the cars were so crumpled with passengers stuck inside. For me, i was able to walk out of my car and called for help. Once you escaped death and I bet you will swear by the brand and buy back the same brand because the car body just saved your bloody life.

Test driven the Civic. Quite high mileage for a test drive unit. But it feels so premium like my HRV. The plastic interior components still feels solid and no sign of loosening. Meanwhile, opposite thing happened to the CRV which I tested as well. The Civic performance is superb and quick eventho there's 3 fairly heavy passenger + 1 branch-like person. Very spacious legroom and headroom for 175cm person and horizontally large like me. Nice soft comfortable leather seats (I prefer HRV's mixed leather and fabric seats). Haha.

Hi, I would like to know base on your experience in driving this car for the 1.5 tcp, how does it fare against the honda accord 9th gen FL 2.0vti-l in terms of NVH, and high speed stability (say >140km/h) in a straight line on highway and long sweeping bends such we can find on the highway. I know in terms of performance it surely can’t beat the turbos for the accord, but I just want to know in terms of stability and comfort level between these 2 cars. Tq for your feedback.

Great review! Just got mine last week, a 1.5t variant. First full tank of RON95 reached over 500km of 50% town driving and 50% highway cruise of 110 to 120km/h below 3000rpm. Reason of D segment roominess is due to sharing of same platform with the latest Accord(which is not available in Malaysia yet). Gives you a lot of value for your Ringgits = )

What I dont understand is why the need of 2 separate exhaust for a less than 6 cyclinder cars. Is it just for the looks?
@imadude858 жыл бұрын
And about the design of this civic tail pipes, I think honda wants to create a venturi effect at the exhaust tips. The exhaus gasses will be sucked out from the pipes when the vehicle is on the move.
@avave888 жыл бұрын
imadude85 i think it is not about cylinder. It can be the functional system design for most of the direct injected engine. Looks at Mazda and Toyota. Camry 2.0 got twin tail pipe but the highest spec 2.5 hybrid only 1.

Junve Astronomo I have the civic for almost a year now. I have to say Honda used a lot of money on features and high quality leather on common areas and because of this (maybe) some uncommon area are not well built. My car's front bumper isn't balance (one side was a bit out), the A-pillar is very loose and this makes A LOT of noise when driving on bumpy roads or on high speed. These are all minor problems, other than that, I really love it and it feels premium other than the minor problems. That's my opinion and maybe it's just my car I'm not sure. The other day I drove a Mazda 2 and thought it was really premium. Not sure for Mazda 3. Have always been a fan of Mazda. Also, if you're considering resale value when buying a car then civic would be your choice.
