Why bashing so much on the Civic 2015???? What is wrong with this guy?? The previous Civic was not weird or bad looking as he is trying to put it.... The 2015 was a car that sold very well and may people, young and mature liked that model... What is the problem with the double instrument panel? Personally, I LIKE IT, yes, it looks like a spaceship or something like that, BUT IT LOOKS GOOD AND MODERN... it is very comfortable to see and the important information is just right under the driving view area... I think this guy is trying too much to put the previous Civic as a bad outgoing model to enhance this new Civic, that doesnt look bad, but it is simply A NEW MODEL... It is like sayinig that the previous Pilot was a bad car to say that the new Pilot is better... NO, the previous Pilot was a great car, oriented more for outdoor adventures, and the new Pilot is oriented for more urban/family road trip with luxury and comfort... Thats all.. This guy must mind how he refer to the outgoing models when talking about the new one, he needs to be more OBJECTIVE... There is always room from improvement, but that doesnt mean that the previous models were bad, because they were good for their era, and in the case of Civic, it was sold very well, so that means it was not that bad after all... That is why I preffer car reviews from KBB...

I like the double panel too.Beautiful and funcional. Seems like the guy wants to hook down the panel because it wont be part of the civic 2016. The new panel is looking poor.

+wtrdogg20 The 9th gen is bland from the outside and cheap looking from the inside, although it is not a bad car. As for new vs old, I like the first Matrix, for example, much better than the second one, and there is no third one, so here you are.
@lablabdrew9 жыл бұрын
i agree 100%. The current gen civic is not a big jump from the 8th gen but it certainly is an improvement. This guy just lost all credibility when he said that the current gen civic looks bad and something to cook pizza from? What? Is this guy a reviewer or someone who got fired from developing the 9th gen? I personally have a 9th gen,ford focus and a mazda 3. All in all I love the mazda 3 the most. But I dont get the 9th gen civic hate. To be honest, this 10th gen civic looks a bit more weird than the 9th gen. It looks more of a hatch. God I hate this stick guy and that creepy smile.

I currently own a 2009 Mazda 6 with the 6spd. The wife hates to drive stick, so I am really hoping the Si will break tradition and at least offer a paddle shift auto, or preferably dual clutch, leaving the R to the manual only. I love the new 1.5T option, but will not ever purchase a vehicle with a cvt tranny. I love my Mazda though, and until the 2016 Civic was introduced, I figured the 3G 6 would be it's eventual replacement. Decisions decisions.

@PajamaPantsMan9 жыл бұрын
+Darren Loke Acura is shooting itself in the foot by reusing the same platform for its luxury cars. Come on their cars are still front wheel drive, I know they think they're the best at it, but rwd is the superior drivetrain. I guess honda is just content with what they are currently doing. But think about it, if they could make the s2k and based on how fun it was, why can't they offer something like that in the their Acura line up.
@MatthewMaok9 жыл бұрын

I thought the new Hyundai Elantra was the next big thing... not even close, this is the BEST mainstream C-segment car by far, all things considered... although the Focus and Mazda3 can hold their own in some areas, the new Civic feels like a car from the next decade, and not the current. The Corolla with its 70s inspired dashboard and the plainly incompetent Sentra are not even in the game.

FYI the 1.5L with the CVT 0-60 6.8 seconds.
@BestJinjo9 жыл бұрын
+Ivan Vojt I think you are quoting Car & DRiver that perform acceleration with a roll-out. From a dead stop, MotorTrend had it at 7.2 seconds but CVT kills the fun of the Turbo engine. Wish they offered it with a manual or a traditional automatic. "The 1.5-liter, turbocharged inline-four possesses a healthy 174 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque with a peak boost pressure rating of 16.5 psi. Armed with a continuously variable automatic (the only transmission choice with the turbo) the engine slings a preproduction, top-of-the-line Touring sedan from 0 to 60 mph in a relatively quick 7.2 seconds and through the quarter mile in 15.5 seconds at 92.4 mph, faster than the EP3 Si." The 10th gen is way nicer than the 9th gen though.

Every time a new car design comes out, all I see is automakers ''recycling'' other designs and blending them together and calling it ''fresh new design''. Front bumper = Acura. It looks like a Mazda 6 from upfront and from the right angle, a Nissan Maxima, and an Accord Crosstour from the rear. Don't get me wrong, this car looks way more ''premium'' than other compact cars, especially the Accord-like interior, buuuuuuut, it has a CVT. And last I heard, Honda recalled current gen-Civics cause the transmissions pulleys cannot handle the 140 hp and 129 lb-ft of torque of the current 1.8l engine.
