Thanks for the review, well done. I've been driving mine for two weeks, 600+ miles. This is NOT like any Civic Honda has ever offered. The Touring model shown is absolutely loaded with standard equipment - this thing drives itself. Veer out of your lane, you get a beep and the steering wheel shimmies to wake you up. Follow too close and you get another beep and a bright orange BRAKE warning flash on the dash. Ignore that and the Civic will brake for you! Two USB ports to charge your phone or whatever, and a wireless charging pad under the dash. Headlights come on automatically, and the wipers sense when the windshield is wet. Like I said, it drives itself. I LOVE this car! And black on black looks awesome.

+Bill Paul Wow that's incredible. I guess it's somewhat of a bargain at $27k having features that $50k+ cars have. It's definitely an impressive turnaround for a Civic, glad you are enjoying it!
@jinchun70219 жыл бұрын
Hi Bill. Do you find the engine noisy? I've read some reviews on how the turbo engine in the Touring is noisier than the standard 2.0 engine in the lower trim levels. How much does it bother you on a daily scale, if not bother you at all?

Are you still driving your Civic Touring?
@billpaul66754 жыл бұрын
@@jinchun7021 sorry I missed this. I have never driven the 2.0 to compare, but I have no noise issues with the turbo engine. I really like the CVT, it offers a kind of growl when you punch it into what would be "overdrive"!
@billpaul66754 жыл бұрын
@@JulezWinnfield Yes. 29,000 miles, still love it. No issues other than routine maintenance and a replacement tire when a nail found the side of the tire. I did find out then that the sport type tires can be a little expensive.

I took this car on an extended test drive on city streets and on the freeway. It's not a bad car. It's quick and nice. However, the appearance of the rear end will take some time to get use to, but I've grown to accept it, although personally I think Honda should have kept the '13-'15 rear end for the 10th generation and made them LED taillights. The stereo was good. I got up to 60 (0-60) in about 7.2s. It's a quiet, comfortable ride, with a smooth CVT tranny. The backseat is roomy as heck. The navi was easy to use. If I were in the market for a compact car, I would definitely buy this over the Mazda3.

One thing that would keep me from getting this is the rubber/plastic part of the front bumper under the Honda emblem.. In a matter of two years it will start to fade and look terrible. Then when they refresh this model they may remove that, causing this one to look obviously out of date.

You're right! My 2013 Civic weather stripping is being killed in the south Florida sun all year around. I'm afraid the paint may not last this long. My rubber near my windshield is so bad, you can see that is being faded away. I hope it's not expensive to replace in time. Don't forget when you get a wax job, unless you're doing it yourself, someone will accidentally get wax on the black molding and then it fades that black plastic with the sun.
@BrosFOURRSpeed9 жыл бұрын
+Jess Barnett is there anyway to vinyl wrap that piece? on this 16, that grill piece could be easily wrapped.
@MatthewMaok9 жыл бұрын
+Jess Barnett best solution is to opticoat/ceramic 9h the whole car, it is a paint sealant so it will make the paint last longer and also lets the car stay less dirty after rain, you should look it up, though it is quite costly and would best be recommended for a brand new car or else you'd be charged a lot for paint correction.
@jbar_859 жыл бұрын
+Matthew BouMao at the end of the day, I'll go to Macco and have them fix my paint if it fades away. It's said the price of these cars now a days and they don't do anything to help them weather excessive UVA/B rays that damage the plastic. Plus the excessive heat in south Florida really melts interior plastics.

I've had a 2016 Civic EX for a year now. It is the model that is one up from the base. 1. My wheels are different, though they are still aluminum, not hub caps. 2. I have fabric seats with manual movement. Driver and passenger go back and forth and lean. The driver also goes up and down. No seats are heated 3. I do not have automatic dimming mirrors. 4. I have a naturally aspirated 2L engine 5. I do not have the lane sensing technology like front impact warning and such. 6. No fog lights or running lamps 7. Touring has a better stereo 8. One zone climate control In my opinion, it's worth the extra money to go from the base LX model to the EX model but anything after that is just creature comforts. LX to EX gets you aluminum wheels, the 7 inch display with apple and android carplay, the cvt, remote start, moonroof, and some others I can't remember. It basically adds all the necessary 21st century technology and connectivity.

Great video but sorry this Civic not digging it much. Honda is not a bad car but I’m more of a Kia Forte guy. Also drive a Forte daily. Better body design & more horsepower.
