Hyundai just released Campaign TY8 that addresses the hesitation issue with the 1.6T engine with the 7 speed DCT. I had mine updated this morning and it's almost a night and day difference. I highly recommend to everyone with this issue to get this update that was made available 12/8/2015.

I had the 2013 GLS Hyundai Tucson similar to 2016 sport). I really love the Tuscon series very much. After I watched several videos including yours about the 2016 Hyundai Tucson LImited. I test drove the 2016 Limited and bought it! WOW!!!!!! What a HUGE DIFFERENCE between both years! 2016 LIMITED is AMAZING! I made a great decision trading up. the turbo is not a big issue for me. Safety, new technology features, the warranty, and reliability was a was a huge deciding factor for to buy the Hyundai 2016 Limited. (eXcited shout) I highly recommend this vehicle!!!!!!!

I’ve owned my 16 Limited for over a year. Rock solid and going on 20K miles. Love the ride and handling. Great cruiser on the highways and very fun on the back roads. Easy to see out of all the way around. The turbo motor and the DCT are more than adequate and the issues mentioned in this video are eliminated with software updates performed under warranty. I drove the base model with the non-turbo and traditional transmission. It was fine too. I just wanted more features and it came with the turbo engine and dual clutch transmission. Drive one before you by a Rogue or CR-V or RAV4. It’s worth a look.

Why on earth do reviewers always have the most expensive version almost in this case it's the $25K one people will buy I know the manufacturers give you the cars other than that a good review
@Ads79039 жыл бұрын
+John Hetherington In many cases the reviewer are given the press car as a top line spec. The manufacturer wants to show off every feature of the vehicle.

Lucky for us here in Australia we've got the 6 speed automatic, 2.0L turbo diesel.

I had a 1976 Plymouth Volare [I loved the car but it was a dog] that would miss at the same acceleration spot every time, like the Tucson lag you mention. Finally Plymouth issued a service bulletin fix that the float in the carburetor was defective. Talk about irritation while driving! Thanks for your well rounded review, always good to hear pros and cons. The small rear side windows make for a somewhat boxed in feeling even though the cabin is pretty roomy inside. Hope Hyundai will one day make interior medium height carpeting standard.

legaladvocate71 Trying to equate that 1976 Volare to this 2016 Tucson, is like comparing a modern passenger jet to the plane Lindbergh flew over the Atlantic.

What color is this car? Sometimes during this vid, it looks like the Ruby Red metallic & when the scene changes, it looks like the Orange Sedona Sunset?

See now this is a very helpful review. Opinionated, precise & informative So with you on the window height issue - it's a big detractor for us. And the roof mounted centre seatbelt? Crazy! Still, I really like the look - pity about the engine dynamics. Will continue to think, hard

Nice review. An engaging voice. Back seat is pretty roomy especially if the front seats are not pushed all the way back. More room than the Santa Fe. I find seat comfort and legroom and lumbar is especially important on long trips over 30 miles. I once had a 2010 Hyundai Accent and the seats were torture after 15 minutes of driving. My current 2013 Accent seats are superior as regards long trip comfort and I see the Tucson has better under front leg support.

Another great review. I would probably consider the entry level model with the naturally aspirated engine and six speed automatic. Not a fan of turbo lag.
@clarencewhite65646 жыл бұрын
kudos... the 2.0 4 cyl and 6 speed automatic is simpler and, easier to live with but, the 1.6 liter turbo although theres turbo lag is better for performance and, fuel economy not that that's saying much.

Love this colour!!! - is it Ultimate Red or Ruby Wine Red? Here in the UK we have the Premium SE range topper trim which is your Limited Trim I would guess, and this colour looks fantastic on those wheels and with dark glassed out panoramic roof we get too. I also test drove the ranger topper CX5 and this new Tucson and I'm really torn between the two! :)

Can you quantify the lag when trying to join traffic from a complete stop?
@Ads79039 жыл бұрын
+Overonator As an owner it really isn't that bad. Like a manual trans, it engages a second slower than an automatic. The lag of the turbo is short lived, say another half to a second, whereas an auto with a normally aspirated engine is immediate. It is obvious that it was not the best matched power train off the line but it works very well and is a spirited drive. Cheers

Yeah merging into high speed traffic is frightening if you don't have the confidence to do so. Thanks for the response.

Where is the chrome, like in the European version? You also did not discuss the inferior interior in the lower three trim levels.

because HYUNDAI groups everything in designations, I had to order CHROME door handles on MY 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON SPORT. It looks the same and certainly cheaper than getting it from the dealer.
