As a shoer who served apprenticeship with last retired US Cavalry shoeing instructor, NICE Shoeing, BUT-fasten that propane tank down!!! I'm retired now,but remember MANY stories in Anvil Magazine about shoers who died when their tanks exploded in a car wreck!!! Better yet-have an RV place mount a nice under the bed tank...Again-nice shoeing.
@CrossRootedForge5 жыл бұрын
I admit this I lack at. This last year I've slowly upgraded my truck to a pod with a slide out where I now can have drill press, bench grinder, forge and so on. I've been trying to find how to secure my propane tanks work little room I have left. I had to fill up the other day and I had a new tank riding shotgun with me. Was it safe? No. Do I recommend it? Heck no. We as farrier need to do the best at protecting ourselves both above and below the horse.

No, what the fuck are you talking about 😂😂😂
@MissFlying17 жыл бұрын
Are you an actual farrier, or are you just clevering yourself now? Cause I am actually one, and that is utter BS, sorry. Yes, there is a higer risk of thrush and infection by nailing a hoof, but that doesn't matter wether you nail it in the horn or white line. The white line is flexible and stretchy, so by nailing in that, you avoid locking the hoofs natural contracting/expanding ability.

It burns away small little ridges, and rumps so the shoe fits more perfectly. You just can’t hotshoe a horse every single time you shoe.
