I just purchased the XFS 2016 2 days ago. I put a deposit to take it off the market. It was at Jaguar Portland Oregon. The next day I drove 6 hours to get there. I never purchased a car online before but I AM SO HAPPY WITH THIS CAR!! I am an RN at a state prison and need to treat myself... This is better than being a kid on Christmas Day.

Hope you ended up selling can't believe how slow it is I have a Toyota mark x 3.5 v6 and does 4.8 secs to 100 ks an hour factory and only cost 10grand

From what I can find, they seem to be pretty solid. Most complaints are interior bits failing, such as the fancy air vents and controller for the gears that pops out of the dash. The V8 has issues with the timing chain in some model years. Not so sure about the V6 though.

The engine is supposed to be very solid. The engine is Jaguar’s V8 with two cylinders blanked off. Due to this, the engine runs very smoothly and the cooling throughout the block is said to be excellent due to it being designed to cool an engine with 2 more cylinders than it has. The transmission if you get the AWD model is an 8HP70 rated at 700nm, but has been reliably pushed closer to 1,000nm with no issues. From what I’ve read, this is one of the best modern planetary transmissions you can get. The only known issue that all of the X260 have is the rear doors occasionally fill up with water due to the door seals restricting the drain holes. The restriction can simply be removed by cutting the section of the door seal covering the drain hole. Other issues some owners seem to have include the interior creaking. This is due to the aluminum chassis flexing more than intended. Drive carefully over bumps & dips or reinforce the chassis and it should not be an issue.

Not very fast for how much power it has, and it has a supercharger but makes only 30nm more torque than an N/A Falcon on 98 octane? I mean.. it has almost been 9 years since the Barra 195 came out lol I was expecting a 0-100 in the 4's to be honest but it runs a similar time to an Infiniti 3.7l sedan. It is probably much quicker past 100 though.

Smaller displacement 3.0L engine and relatively old at that, their new engines will be here soon. NA Falcon does 0-100 is high 6's at best, this Jag is a quick car.

I thought it was going to be running 0-100 times comparable to an XR6T or SS but the torque disadvantage really stuffed it. I'm sure I saw another 3.0 S vehicle from Jaguar that was quicker.

Don't forget that the car weights without a driver 2100kg (don't no what it is in lb) and 340hp on that high weight can't run a 4s 0-100km/h (60mph) So for what it weights i think it performs good... Sorry if my english is broken i'm from switzerland
