On point review! The 6-speed/1.4t combo is the way to go on this vehicle. Makes it a very fun vehicle to drive. Hidden bonus: It's also the most reliable version of the Renegade.

Did not realize there was an animal on every Jeep! And my wife owned a Jeep for forever! I've been wanting to find one of these! I drove a Compass with a 6-speed and I was pleasantly surprised by it. It had the 2.4L multi-air, as opposed to the 1.4L, and was quite peppy and shifted really nicely. I got into it with the same thoughts as you, expecting it to be rough coming from a Wrangler. They don't make the Renegade or the Compass with a manual anymore BTW. Nice video!

I like it. I'm 6'3". My son is 6'4" and there's plenty of leg and head room for both of us. Decent power too. I'm teaching him to drive it so he'll know how to drive a stick. Call me old fashioned, but I think he should know how. 😏. He loves the feeling of having control of the gears. He will be taking it with him wheb he heads off to college soon.

Not ALL of the torque would be under 4KRPM. Maybe most of it. But then you diffed that from above 4K. What about right ON it?
