Man, I miss my Jeep. Great memories riding in that thing, enjoying the southern Utah weather, with the top down and the doors off. I sold it when child #3 came along as my year (1998) only had seating for two in the back. Fast forward 10 years later, I'm considering a Jeep again, but to be honest would buy an older one. Driving up a mountain dirt road with no top or doors is an unbelievable experience. I wouldn't want to be worried about whether or not I'm getting the interior dusty with a new one. I got caught in the rain a few times in St. George while racing home trying to beat the storm. Good times. Great video my friend, keep it up.

for us since we are two adults and two kids and have a larger awd (mdx) for long distance driving the wrangler 2 door is perfect as our second vehicle. Weekend trips driving on the beach or off roading in the local mountains are a blast . Hard top is a piece of cake to remove one person if you hook a $30 winch up in your garage and we run soft top 2/3 of the year. Take the doors off once in a while too!

My review. I own one for 7 years (2016 JKU) I love it…80,000 on it. Lots of fun. Take the top off on a nice day or ride it through a snowstorm. The back seat is too small for adults. @@maggiepup3377 2 months ago we sent our 2016 4 door to a local shop because it was losing oil. I don't know what all he did to it but the bill was $2,100. This month it's had 2 starters put on and the camshaft positioning sensors are throwing codes... my 2005 still runs like a champ though... the new one has been problem after problem. We also have a 2001 Cherokee which is bulletproof. I know I sound whiny... just amazes me that a $30 grand plus vehicle is a lemon. I'm still a fan of older Jeeps and will likely be adding to the "fleet" with another one!

LOL. Every vehicle has its downsides, why dwell on those? You would be silly to think those metrics would be good on a convertible that happens to be the most competent off road vehicle at that price point. May as well ask how a Miata will do at the beach.

@logicreigns34788 жыл бұрын
vdelrio999 Do you know the difference between data and anecdote? Do you know why Jeeps are relatively cheap to insure? Theoretic testing shows jeeps to be below the mean in safety but actual accident numbers are lower. People inclined to drive jeeps seem to be among the safest drivers

Hello theMediaMart, Everyone says that the Wrangler has below average reliability... Given that you own a Wrangler may I ask you: Can I hope to get a 4 year old one and keep it for another 4 years without breaking the bank? I drive 20,000 miles a year..
@averageguytested5 жыл бұрын
Good question. It’s a risky proposition if you are nursing a wallet for sure. Depends on how much you drive and how it was maintained prior to you owning it. The reality is that most cars break down and it really sucks to pay to fix something you don’t love.

just found your video - thanks for the honest straight forward review of the Unlimited model. i just ordered a 2016 Unlimited, Sport S with a few extra goodies. i didn't spring for the Alpine speaker upgrade b/c quite frankly, i can't justify spending $900. i've driven base model vehicles my entire life with 4 speaker systems and i've never had an issue. the only time i had to do a speaker upgrade was when i blew out the speakers in my Civic and replaced them with bottom of the barrel Sony Xplode ones from Circuit City for about $60. looks like you have the base 8 speaker setup and not the 9 speaker Alpine. what are you thoughts on the base 8 speaker system? i was reading the Wrangler forums and people are raising hell about the base speakers and now it's making me wonder if i should have gone with the Alpines. but then again, i guess i could always upgrade to Pioneer speakers at a later date so what are you thoughts on the base 8 speaker system? thanks!

I 2nd that... the new V6 they use in the wranglers is JUNK. Still plagued with poor head design stemming as far back as 2011. Chysler admitted to the 2011-2013 issues... they are still denying the problem in the 2014+ models of the motor. Dealers are kept busy fix burnt exhaust valves in the left cylinder head. Good luck. Hope your warranty is honored. They love finding BS reasons to make the customer fix their broken engines due to their bad design. And yes I own that motor... motor failure at 47k miles. Burnt exhaust valve.
