I have to mention the plastic on the back of the front seats is actually a feature for people with kids who kick the seat all the time with their dirty shoes. Easier to clean and harder for those rascals to damage. Nice review!

its a family car!! i love the hard backs plats for the passanger and driver side seats.. my little girl loves to put her shoes all over my back seats. so i can see how detailed kia went to make it a family vehicle :) i appreciate it!

I have a 2005 Kia Serento and it has never ever given me a problem, at 168,000 miles and with oil and filter(s) changed every 4 to 6000 miles the car still runs great and it is still one of the best cars i have ever owned. So your review of the 2016 model was great and the little interior upgrades has me falling for a new Kia Serento to grace my garage. Nice Job on the review. (how ever you should have edited that third seat keystone cop routine out) but all in all good review. Thanks

+ThePhilmartin I saw the same issue while at the dealership. To get to the 3rd row, you have to go thru the passenger side to get access to the sliding mechanism.

fornidd met Unfortunately, there is no manual transmission option! It does have tiptronic, but we understand that it's just not the same! If you're looking for an SUV with a manual transmission, The Mazda CX-5 might be an option to look into!

just as a side comment. When you are going to do a review. You might want to read up on the car first. using the phrase " I think what it does" is not something you want to say when posting reviews. Look over the owners manual and see what all your car comes with and how it all works. Noticing a feature and being "clueless" about it does not bold well.

Very few buyers will read the owners manual of the car, so we review the vehicle using the information we gather upon first impressions. We think it makes it a bit more interesting and relatable. Nice ride but buyer beware. There are no DRLs or LED daytime driving lights. No leds fine but how do you not even have DRLs? Kia wants to be a luxury SUV? Has some work to do.

Its now 2021. I have a 2016 turbo sorento and im the original owner. This car is garbage. Nothing but problems. Was nice for 1st 45,000 miles but after that sell it.

Yea as the others have said about the rear seat, but more to the point you should of read how to get in before looking like a fool for all of KZbin to see. Also, how about have a bit of respect for the car and empty your rear pockets of the large pointed objects before you sit on the nice leather.

+GNX157 I think they were trying to have a "normal person perspective". A vehicle should be intuitive enough to not require it's owners to read the manual before putting their kids in the back seat.
