If this was available in the USA at a decent price? I'd BUY ONE ! A classic jeep-like product. You DON"T need anything other than an engine, brakes transmission and seats in this type of car!

You can run and service this car yourself for 25 years with the help of simple hand tools and a screwdriver. Eastern Europe was full of these Nivas and were very reliable.

I prefer manual over electronic, less thing that can go wrong. But NIVA needs a more powerful engine.

It has two Elbrus stickers on the rear pillars, 16" alloys (which are also available on the Urban) with 185/75 tires, special interior upholstery with lateral support. Dynamic vibration dampers to reduce vibartions and CV joints instead of cardans. It comes with standard powersteering, ISOFIX and daytime lights. The car is only available in three metallic colors: Red, Olive and Black. Price: $8,170. The dark color is $60 cheaper.

Their attitude is "if it works, don't fix it". This vehicle works and doesn't need to be changed. Big sales indicate Russians will always be happy with this design. Same goes with the Lada Riva and other designs.

This car almost never breaks! If it breaks (rarely) it is very cheap to mantain (do it yourself). New european or asian cars, specially european if they break you are looking for a fortune to pay for a small break. so for russians important is if it works and if you need to change something, it wouldnt cost a fortune!

In Russia there are pillows on which it is possible to sleep all other pillows for weaklings!! Brakes on the car were thought up too by weaklings!!!))
