It is a touch screen while stopped. I test drove honda cr-v and mazda cx-5 and the mazda is so much nicer, more for your money and honda lane watch is useless where the mazda blind spot monitoring is awesome. I found more comfortable in the mazda were the honda I felt weird in. The mazda has a real car like feel .

Road noise Mazda is the worst in this segment compared to Honda or Toyota Breaks just after 30k miles had to replace your average car will give you 45k miles before replacing And the interior looks good but after 10k miles RATTLING was coming from the center console .... For Mazda CX5 2016

I bought this new car, and I don't know how to get the rear seat sit belts? It's hiding from behind the corners of the chairs, I could pull the belt but where're the buckles?

This car should have LED on the GT model for US models, as well as equipped with a 240HP engine... Would've been perfect.

To be clear ONLY the Sport Manual is a 2.0L engine. Not really "the one you want to avoid" depending on what you like. ALL OTHER CX-5's (even Sport) now come with the 2.5L STANDARD... woo hoo!!! BlueTooth is standard too! Backup Camera comes in an option package that includes the MZ-connect touch screen system. All of the new touch screen units can be upgraded with Navi for $399 extra(yes... even the base sport!) PS... it IS A TOUCH SCREEN.... touch it and you'll find out! Full disclosure though, it is ONLY touch when parked or driving under 10 mph, after which you must then use the Commander Switch!

+Ben Jammin It is very good. I am a big guy and had CX-5 for a week as a rental. It was just a tiny bit tight for my knees. Otherwise definitely the best car in its class and fuel economy is amazing.

Sylvia Lopez The Grand Touring Tech Package comes with LED headlights and LED Daytime Running Lights (a.k.a. the "lighted rims").

Drop the 2.0L, offer a Turbo on the higher end trims. Touch screen only works when you are not moving. Otherwise you have to use the knob. Buying a used one of these makes more sense. Pricing gets stupid in a hurry when you start tacking on options.

14:37 - you're wrong when saying "this isn't the touchscreen anymore". You CAN actually use display as touchscreen (in an addition to the physical scrollwheel), other reviews on KZbin show exactly how that works and Mazda's own literature SPECIFICALLY says that this is a "seven-inch full-color touchscreen display with multi-function commander control" (this is an official quote). If you can't even do a proper research on the cars you're attempting to "review" - why do you even bother?

Donsburt its not that one option is better than another, it all depends on your needs, is it for you? do you have family? mostly city driving? roadtrips? cargo needs? CX3 is an amazing option for a new car, and so the CX5.

Everyone NEEDS to check the 2015 JD Power Vehicle Quality Study results. Mazda, Fiat and Subaru make the lowest quality and most unreliable vehicles in the industry. This Mazda also looks really cheap and tacky with all the cheap plastics in the interior. And the weakest point with Mazdas is their loud road noise. And that seems to be a problem with this 2016 Mazda CX-5 as well. RIP Mazda.
