got the chance to try the 1.5L version. What a car. I was still thinking about it the entire f****** day. I drove V6+V8+V10 and they were very amazing but the little Mazda is something else. Only the driving oosition is amazing. The acceleration here in this video are amzing for an non-turbo 2.0L. I don't think there is any 160 hp car that accelerates like this. My non-turbo 2.0R Subaru Legacy (165 hp) is so far from it (ok there is more weight in the Subaru). But the difference is so clear from the video only.

Stock the car is pretty average. However with mods, doesn't break the bank to get it sub ~4 seconds on the 0-60 times

@@SteveOnlin well it won't smoke most cars off the line but it will surprise you and you're turbo rocket if you ever drive it trust me Sure, it won't be like your turbo space ship but it won't be a ridiculously slow car i can guarantee you that ! It's a higher performance level than the 1.5 mx5 with 131 hp and accelerates amazingly well for a n/a 2.0 of 160 hp

wowoow 6.9 sec 0-100km/h, not too bad at all for a 2.0L N/A. Typically at the lights you would go up to 70-80, so it could beat a tonne of cars off the line if you wanted to.

Mazda use to produce a 2.0l v6 with 140hp or so. Can't imagine how it would be if Mazda would update this old v6 engine with a little supercharger and implement it in this mx5.

Matthieu260582 an updated mx3 1.8 V6 or a 2.0litre they also done would be ace. I always said this and mx5s sound a little Chav. They new mx5 sounds decent tho

The 2.0L sounds so much better than the 1.4L that Fiat used in the 124 Spider. But to me the Fiat 124 Spider looks better from every angle than the current MX5 that it is based off.

Yeah I couldn't agree less to be honest. I think the Fiat's hideous - I get why it looks like it does, but it just does not work based off the MX-5. Had they started off a clean slate, it'd work a lot better. My 2016 MX-5 2.0GT manual is absolutely perfect, I adore it (and I was prepared to wait for the Abarth 124 but saw the styling and meh).

Jack Williams I do like most everything about the current MX5 with the exception of the exterior. Not sure exactly why but I just don't like it. I like the look of the NA Miata best of all other generations (currently own two 91's). As for the Fiat 124 Spider, I don't associate the look at all with the original 124 and look at it as a nice alternative body design for those that don't like the current MX5 exterior (like me). The big turn off to the 124 Spider is the Fiat drivetrain. Had they kept the Mazda drivetrain options, I would be interested in replacing my 2010 VW EOS with one. (I hate the EOS)
