Why is that infortament so old looking. They changed it for the gls but why didn't Mercedes update an infortainment for this year and car?

Do you know how to view text messages on the screen? It was very easy to find out in a Honde CRV but not in this car. Also I was able to connect the radio on my phone to the car's blue tooth with CRV but I am not not able to do the same in this car and not even found an Aux cord outlet on it.
