Yea that's right. They put it in the ad because that is the record for factory standard bike. They didn't say it was the fastest ever lap of any vehicle so it makes the bike seem better if they just have the main heading of fastest speed. They are correct in advertising it as that because they don't say specifically what exact record it was.

I only have one complaint about this bike: Can any company make a stock exhaust that doesn't look like someone shat on the drawing concepts? I mean anyone would replace it anyway, but it kills the concept photos with this god awful piece of scrap hanging off the side of the bike

+Kenneth Carter They have to make it big to meet the emissions so if they make an ugly enough one that they can do relatively cheaply then think of all the 'factory added' extras people will chose when buying their new bike, straight away Kawasaki have sold another couple grand of exhaust. Could be a good business plan.

XenoformII And noise! believe it or not, but not everyone likes the screaming sound of an inline 4 or the thunder of a V-Twin with loud pipes. Some people prefer a more subdued note from their bike.

This beast's compression ratio is just 8.5:1, which is the worst among 1000cc bike (average is like13:1)... Imagine if kawasaki improves it and become like 13:1... Holy shit man!!!
