Rented one of these a couple years ago and it was the most comfortable car I've ever driven. Drove from Chicago to Boston straight through and wasn't even sore at the end of the trip. This was my first time driving a CVT and I don't see what the griping is, I loved it. I still wouldn't choose a CVT though just because of the poor long-term reliability.

I test drove one today....nice car. The plastic wheelcovers are the only negative; the catalog shows accessory rims are available through Nissan.

+lcar4000 correct alloy wheels are available as an a la carte accessory or by upgrading to any higher trim SR, SV, and SL will have alloy wheels S Model being more on the economical does not have alloy wheels but does have a lot of standard features that make it a great bargain such as back up camera, intelligent key with push button start, Bluetooth hands free and Bluetooth audio for music, Nissan connect apps, and much much more.

Thanks. I was really impressed with the car, especially considering it was the base model. I'm a fan of manual transmissions but might forget that and go with a CVT just to get one of these. It looks very much like an older Maxima.

This is the base 2.5 model. Still considered the S 2.5. The next step up is the models with S on them. Then SL then SV then SR. Which does make a difference in exterior features. I just picked up a used 45k miles for $12,500 after everything 😊 Not sure which car I like more my Mazda 6 or my Altima. Most comfortable car I have driven though.

lcar4000 I don't if you are still looking but I am looking as well. I have also talked to insurance companies. For some reason, unknown to the insurance company, Nissans are a little more expensive to insure, I assume it's the transmission problems people complain about. But if you lease jt, it shouldn't be a problem. As for the Honda Accord, Honda in general, people steal parts off of it, such as rims. They are both nice, but to determine which one you need to consider your purchase method and parking situation.

I just bought mine 5 days ago and it's exactly the same as that one your showing there, and is not the S model. The S model comes with the smart key (remote start) and a few other things.

You either have a 2015 2.5 model Or you have an 2016 S model For 2016 the S model does not have remote start( optional or standard) remote start is SV trim level an up If you have a request switch on your door handle ( as this one does) you have an S model If there is no request switch to open door on the door handle or trunk you have a 2.5 model

I want to say go for hertz rental sales and make sure it's certified I bought my maxima through hertz for 14,500 when everywhere else sold them for 20k plus a couple years back steal of a price. The altima s 2016 is going for like 12k. Didn't have a problem, I don't see why people would throw money at a dealership when theres deals like this...

Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT). Basically the car has 1 speed and mimics traditional engines when the RPM’s go up. You really gotta drive it to know what I mean. It can be a deal breaker for some though.

can you use sirius xm through the nissan connect / apps feature? since there is a sirius xm app on my phone? or do you have to upgrade to a model that actually supports satellite to use sirius xm?

+Nuno Gloop it will not work through Nissan connect apps, however you can stream the audio from you smart phone app through Bluetooth and control basic functions through the car However if you want it natively on the car with a Bluetooth connection you will have to at least an SV trim level

decatur made I paid $500 for mine. And it's covered alongside the 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. It's a Compustar model. I don't suggest buying the Nissan remote starters because their range is very limited.
