I have one of the old M18 Striker models and I am absolutely in love with it. It was a 150/850 Lumen output with a strobe mode, and did not have the second modal button. I've EDC'd it every day for the last two years, and it has been through many drops, falls and slips since then, with no damage to the light. I'll have to pick up a newer one eventually, but I do not foresee my current one leaving my side for a long time.

With all your new flashlights, it's making me second guess my purchase of the O-Light S2 Baton. Thanks. Now I have another light to consider.

Just so you guys know, my s20r on off switch has fallen apart after only a few weeks of use, now I'm not knocking pm101 whatsoever. just wanting to say that ounce my light went bad I started noticing ALOT of other people that are really DISAPPOINTED with olights overall quality, and customer service. AND the Warranty is crap if you read fine print.

the Fenix TK16 has that mode that you're talking about instant strobe button but the tail cap that's what I'm about to pick up going from the PD35 2014 ED

I carry this light daily. You can save the last mode including strobe, which is how I run it. Gotta read those manuals. I just bought a second one on a "flash" sale on olightstore.com for $32.

Good video. I too am curious on how this light would stand up to a little abuse. My brother just picked one up today and raved about it. I guess we will see. ALSO curious to what did you have in your left pocket was that a karambit?

I don't subcribe to many channels but I just hit that button. I enjoy your vids and insight. Your review methods are a bit different and i like that. Although I love my M1X, for a woman(my wife's EDC) I think the older M18 striker is better. No chance of leaving it on a lower setting (High first press always) and it's a smaller in diameter. M1X may be superior to the M18. Both are great and Olight rocks. Check out the i3E(10$) with a 10440 battery(2$), 386 lumen bursts for a light smaller than your pinky. yesssba

Kindly tell me which one is better to buy between the Olight M1X or the new Klarus XT11GT---overall grip comfortability and striking purposes? I know this is only 1000 lumens compared to the Klarus with 2000 lumens. Hope you can recommend one for me in your best opinion. Thanks.

nitecore p10 or p20 has the sobe ready button . just my opinion if your looking to implement a strobe for defensive purposes you shouldn't have to press a button 3 times, it could be costly to due so under deres

As per other comments here, you can put it in strobe and switch off on the tail cap. Saving the memory to strobe. So you tailcap touch it or press it for temp and permanent strobe with one press. Shame the reviewer didn’t include that in the video

Good torch, but doesn't come with a charger (yes I know they are cheap to buy), and you cannot adjust the beam.

+Tim T I like the Protac & Streamlight products in general, mainly because they just make a tough dependable product and stand up to HARD use, I'm a millwright at an Iron plant in East Texas and our company has tried the Olight among others and the switches don't hold up to really rugged use. I currently EDC a Streamlight product daily on my job and have used the SAME light for over 6 years charging the same battery each day and it's always good for an 8 hour shift when I grab it. so I was curious after reading your question here Tim and I went back and watched the review on the Protac, I posted my Positive real world experience of having used Streamlight's products and shortly after posting it the review on the protac was taken down and made private. Don't know why anyone would do that. :-/
@Jaybird-oo3ih
@Jaybird-oo3ih 8 жыл бұрын
I've got to ask why would you remove the review of the Protac HI when I gave my real world experiences with Streamlight products? Why would you do that Chris? Any of these lights will blind an attacker or help fend off an attacker if used in that situation. Do some real world rugged reviews on these lights, Yes I'm a fan of Streamlight products but, I have had the same light (Streamlight) for over 6 years and have used the thing with the same battery it was issued with & holds a charge for an 8 hour shift and never a switch failure. The durability should be the main concern will this light work when called on each time? Streamlight products will be with you for years without fail guaranteed. I like your reviews Chris but leave up your older reviews and don't take them down or make them private just because someone throws their real time testament for a product even if it goes against your review. No harm no foul dude. Be Real
