Super helpful. Lots of great tips. I like the idea of the gazebo, was going to add an SUV tent but was worried if I had to take off for any reason, didn’t want something attached to the vehicle. This would work better for me.

I’m glad it could be of some use! I too enjoy having the flexibility of the separate gazebo. I just purchased the wind and rain guards for it too and they’re phenomenal. I would love one day to get one of those 270 awnings, but man they’re expensive and this gazebo cost me just under $200.

Nice setup, but I am thinking more like backpacking gear tossed in bed. I can fit between the back doors so I can sleep on the platform that is under the back seats when they are folded up. I plan to put screens over the doors so I can roll windows down a little and crack sun roof a bit.

Sounds like you got a good plan going! There’s so many different configurations out there, it’s fun getting to play around and set it up for whatever specific needs you have. Screens would definitely be a huge plus to keep out some of the pests during the nicer months. I’ll have to look into doing that as well for the tailgate area
