2016 Speed Queen Washing Machine: Pre Wash Cycle with Towels.

The 2016 Speed Queen washes another load of towels again, this time with the Pre Wash cycle! This cycle is not normally used, but I thought I would show what this machine does extra of when it is selected.
Notice how even with an extra wash, this machine goes for less than an hour. If it were those HE machines, it would definitely be an hour and a half to two hours! Efficient? Hardly!

Looks like that tub brake is now holding well! I was reading the owner's manual for the 1979 Maytag, and for a pre wash, it states to set the dial to the rinse section, add soap, let it complete the rinse cycle. Then start it normally. I should try it next time I have some extremely dirty clothes. I would guess it would take around 45 minutes, as a normal load of laundry takes 30 minutes.

@@Sharkie626 well, thats in the new ones that must be "more eco", basically they tell the manufacturers to Install in the washers heating Elements with less Wattage (f.e instead of 1700W they Put 1200W) My 2002 AEG/Electrolux Front loader can do a boilwash with no options in 2h and 30 minutes, adding front loaders sense and normally they remove time from the timer My aunt has a 2015 AEG, and i set It on a boilwash with prewash and extra rinse, initial time was 4H, but after sensing the time changed and the cycle lasted the Same as in my 2002 AEG, 2h 30 Minutes Add too that most Frontloaders here are cold fill only, so they need to heat the water from 15/20°C to 90/95°C

@@Xupaunwebo Indeed, that's also ridiculous, that they only allow cold-fill. That in itself is the most inefficient way of operating a washer. Has to run longer now to heat the water. @@Sharkie626 well, here we have too Front loaders with dual fill (cold and hot) but theyre More expensive and from my point of view, they're a waste of Money Because when the water heated by the Boiler reaches the machine, its almost full, so the machine fills with non heated water, only worth If the Boiler is right Next to the washer (which doesnt Happen in Most Cases) But aswell its better for the disinfection that the water is First cold and gets heated, because bacteria gets killed more easy (they dont survive to progressive heating) and its better too for removing stains, thats why Here Dual fill is mostly useless, aswell cycles for normal clothing Work with temperatures from Tap water temperature, and then 20°C 30°C and 40°C, which gets heated really quick by the machine, but If you want a higher Grade of disinfection for towels or bedding for example you can Go Up to 60°C or even 95°C that are the longest cycles, my aeg Has a cotton 40 standard cycle of 40°C that lasts 2 hours and 2 minutes, 1h wash, 3 rinses in 45 minutes and 15 minutes of final Spin, followed by 2 Minutes of anticrease But If you select the quick wash button, gets shorted to 54 minutes only, that is composed by 30 minutes wash, 2 rinses in 15 Minutes and a final Spin of 9 minutes, which is Nice

@@Sharkie626 dishwashers here do that too, they're most of them cold fill only, because of the way they dry the dishes, the Dual fill dishwashers dont dry well Most of the Times, USA dishwashers dry with Air, ours dry with condensation, thats why they need cold water for condensing

Can the wash temperature be changed after it's done filling for the pre-wash without having to cancel the current cycle or can the wash temperature be set independently for the pre-wash and the main wash? For instance, let's say if you wanted to do a cold pre-wash and a hot main wash.
@Sharkie626
@Sharkie626 3 жыл бұрын
That's actually an interesting question. I know normally the settings are locked in once agitation begins, but since the main wash also uses the temperature of your choosing, maybe it might allow it. I could try some time.

Just got mine, and it already need a service call because if I use any detergent whatsoever (yes proper he detergent and very little) it somehow blows bubbles for days during the final spin. As one can imagine, bubbles without water don’t go down a drain so my stand pipe pukes bubbles all over the floor unless I stop the machine. Hugely disappointed is an understatement. Definitely a problem within the machine that’s causing this extreme pressure that’s enough to flood a floor with foam. If they can’t fix it I’ll just have to get an LG. Sucks because I really wanted a speed queen.

Using pre wash with a wash cycle is just like having a short wash cycle and two rinse cycles. Too bad it cant be used with soak, then prewash. The best way to use prewash is to push spin and "add" the prewash to it. Then when it's done, reload with soap and do a standard wash.

I've been debating getting it. I think you said Amazon? Would probably have the best use on towels and the bed sheets , thinking of that "hotel scent" you had talked about, and just stick with the Tide for everything else, I mean it really already cleans everything just fine already. Though I am guessing those Bounce sheets would interfere with the hotel scent. This machine is literally THE only one I have seen that gives you the option of 2 washes and 4 rinses in one cycle. Not that I would ever need it, but it's absolutely hilarious. Was like their way of saying "Oh, those other machines restrict your water? That's cute."

"This deal is not available on Amazon". They've been saying that lately on those quick infomercials on TV. Problem is, every time I check that, they're right. The horrible TV deal is not on Amazon. A much better deal for the same thing, is. It used to be Marcia Marcia Marcia, now it's Tide Tide Tide. Mommy always used Tide so I will to, and because of that, Tide will remain the #1 laundry detergent on the market. They're the best, because they have the most bottles on the shelf and the highest price tag. They even have these really awesome things called pods you just throw in and forget about, see, they can do that. You don't pay attention when you throw them in, nor when your toddler eats them but we wont' talk about that. They have so many varieties so GO ORANGE!!!!!!! Laundersol has to be ordered from a janitorial supplyhouse, or the manufacturer directly. It's _that_ good. Beg pard!
