I just bought one with a dyno tune, 138hp is now 146rwhp, throttle is smooth as silk, engine breaking no problem. I tested the competition except for the s1000r and personally I think the gsxs1000f is the best ride in its class for my 6ft, 98kg frame. Super happy with my choice. I highly recommend the dyno tune

Glad you got to open the throttle at the end - have test ridden the naked and faired version of these, the second power band burst around 8k is awesome. Selling my car ASAP and buying one of these in the next month or two, can't wait ! Thanks for the review.

Joe Smith, thanks for the warning, I'll keep an eye out. Funny enough my developed throttle issues 2 months ago although mind was clearly a fuelling issue. After getting Suzuki GB to agree, they swapped the ECU and adjusted the primary TPS, reset the bike and it's sorted all that nonsense out. I'm now having a fully yoshi exhaust, bmc air filter, rapid bike Evo with quick shifter fitted, hoping to sort that last 5% fuelling error, tap into the last available rwbhp (hoping for at least 20 more horses). May swap out the calipers.

Hi. quick question if you don't mind. have you experienced any throttle snatch when holding constant speeds in the lower rpms?
@layhervamp8 жыл бұрын
No, the way to deal with that is to short shift to second. The bike has so much torque it doesn't mind second gear and it stops some of the snatchiness. Even that isn't really an issue if your aware of it, it never catches me out but is so much fun to play with when riding with friends.

I'm wondering also.

No, if you can hold it at a consistent point there is no snatch. People refer to the snatch because the are surprised at a little turn of the throttle results in the bike lurching forward. The truth is, it's a very powerful machine with Hughes amounts of torque. Unlike a supersportbike wher you Rev the nuts off if to keep it in the powerband, the gxs-s has a powerband that starts a very low rpm and just keeps going. I'm not saying a twist of the throttle doesn't catch me out, it does, you just have to know the characteristics of the bike and be prepared for the masses of low down power.

Me too!!! I'm loving mine! Almost broke in now:)

Had mine since August/September last year. Still thrilled with riding it. I love the power when twisting the throttle and torque everywhere, no matter the gear or rpm. Great bike! Excellent review.

How is the throttle response , is it snatchy , is it good to ride in slow moving traffic or it will overwhelm with its sheer power when in slow traffic. This is a question which is been nagging me.
@kalyand258 жыл бұрын
Sanket Sonavane it is snatchy but smooth if traction control is set to highest-3, heard that suzuki offers a ECU change for throttle issue and that fixes it.

How does it compare to the S1000R? I'm looking at a naked as my next bike.Thank you

+E.S. Slc the S1000 is a good bike and I would be happy with it but it's no S1000R. My money would go to the BMW without hesitation. I did a ride video on it also.

These American tests where a group of riders ride together at about 30 mph are pointless.

It's Canada. And they have to do the speed limit which is 80 KPH. What would you have Suzuki do...take the bikes to a track?... for a bunch of newbies? These rides are to introduce riders to the general feel of the bike and that's all.
