Mate, that was one of the most entertaining car reviews that I've had the pleasure to watch. I started watching your German version and then luckily found this English version. Thank goodness you have good English because I enjoyed your honesty and humour. You may be interested to learn that in Australia - not Austria - the Suzuki Jimny has an excellent reputation as a wonderful off road 4x4 car. Probably their greatest limitation, is the one you pointed out, space. So I believe people get around this with roof racks and just cramming as much as they possibly can in the rear section. So thumbs-up from me, and I've subscribed. Please keep up the good work.

I'll third that, 'tried the German version with subtitles but gave up, so pleasant surprise to find this one. Regarding that mesh divider, Suzuki call it a Partition Grille/Dog guard. Overall, excellent work, and your English is just great!

Daihatsu feroza is MUCH better. The old vitara (came to the usa as geo/chevrolet tracker) is also better imo, it comes in convertible too like the feroza The jimny's tiny size is a gimmick, it's a cool factor that makes people interested in it, but it is very unpractical to live with on pavement, if you have to take highways you will see how bad it is to drive the jimny on highway speeds, it can hardly keep up and the ride is not comfortable. The only reason to get the jimny is if you value mpg over everything else, practicality, comfort, etc. yet in some markets it didn't com in diesel, only petrol... I have been in a jimny before as a passenger, and even though the backseats are surprisingly comfortable if you're carrying just one passenger in the back, thanks to the seats reclining, the car's still to small to carry any more than 3 people in it. You feel every bump and pothole on the road too, and take ride is like to be in a defender. My big brother has an early 90's Ford explorer (the boxy one), and in terms of comfort and practicality I would prefer to be in the explorer any time... in a bigger vehicle like the Explorer you can pack your stuff, your surfboards, gather your friends and go camping, surfing, or whatever you do for leisure. Although it clearly does not get anywhere near the mpg the jimny does needless to say the jimny is a niche car, the only case i can see for it where it fits better than most cars is if you live alone and drive alone most of the time and you value mpg (it being your work car that you drive everyday or something like that), while valueing off road capability at the same time, and you're not willing or cant afford to have 2 automobiles

Great review. I'm from australia and have a base 2015 model. I'm looking at getting the rear grill partition and load liner as in the ranger models for my dog. Do you have to take off the rear seat base in order to fit the grill? Prost 🍺

City driving is all stop start, good luck there. Lol My country driving confirms quoted figures. Good on fuel imo. Take out the rear seats and use a cargo net. Very reliable.

It's called a "roof rack", and yes, that's a decal (not a sticker) ;-) Do you think a child would have enough room in the back seat? I've heard the space there described anywhere from "adequate" to "non-existent". BTW: I appreciate your detailed report!

Fiat Panda 4x4 Cross. More power, less weight, faster, lower consumption, better space, all terrain anti-spin / hill decent control, entertainment system with bluetooth. mm. Maybe not as good in all offorad conditions I imagne. Anyway, great video!

fiat panda has a dedicated low range transfer case? does it have a proper ladder frame chassis? does it have a solid front axle? I searched the small offroad vehicle market extensively, I bought a Jimny, granted I a have a 50mm lift and underbody protection, the vehicle goes just about anywhere, I would have broken about 3 fiats in the time I have had my vehicle

Good review. I understand that English is not you mother language so not sure how you say in German, but the Suzuki Jimny is in English a "part time 4 wheel drive" vehicle, not an "all wheel drive". All wheel drive cannot be shifted to drive rear wheels only.

This is probably the worse car you can possibly purchase today. Once first owners get bored with it, there is a small demand from farmers who fit wide mud tyres and wheels on it to go look at their sheep and cattle and to use as a mobile gate.
