By far one of the greatest Grand Finals by my Doggies! Going down in history for sure! Just to clear it up, for all of you Sydney fans that are saying "the umpires were on your side" you have to remember that... Kurt Tippet didn't get a goal - Key Forward Buddy - Injured and only 1 goal - Key Forward Dan Hanners Injured - Kid Midfielder In the first half and bit of the third quarter there were only 4 players with over 10 disposals and all of them being goal scorers. That means the rest of the squad weren't playing as they should of In all honesty the swans should of won with there experience but now that they've lost AGAIN you guys won't stop complaining It's the year of the dogs and I'll be honest I started crying with 5 minutes to go. straight from AFL.com.au 5. Did the men in green feel the pinch of a tense Grand Final? As hard as it is for the players, the job of the umpires must be even more difficult on Grand Final day, and there were some puzzling decisions at the MCG. The Bulldogs led the free kick count 12-4 at half time, with more than a couple of head scratchers going their way. The third term ramped up the pressure on the players and the Dogs were given another two or three questionable decisions, with a 50-metre penalty against Jeremy Laidler, and a high shot on Clay Smith among them. The Swans didn't land a free kick at all in the third quarter, and co-captain Jarrad McVeigh certainly made his feelings known to the whistleblowers. The below the knees rule also seemed to be abandoned with Tom Papley and Dan Hannebery both brought down by Dale Morris and Easton Wood with no whistle.
@CurtisSpiers8 жыл бұрын
tom boyd tho.
@SamsonRyan728 жыл бұрын
Stfu he is right. We had played better than you for the majority of the game. The umpires are strictly employed to balance the game and pay free kicks were they are deserved. The umpires can really change the game for the benefit of one team quite easily. That's what they did today. I believe in the last 6-8 minutes of the 4th quarter, the Sydney Swans did continuously turnover the footy in multiple kickouts from the back line to the midfield, and the dogs did capitalise and we cannot complain about the last 6-8 minutes. However it has been noted on the OFFICIAL AFL APP AND WEBSITE that umpires made countless errors and puzzling decisions that effected the Swans chances. You can brag and be happy all you want that the Bulldogs got a meaningless premiership which they were assisted in winning which they were incapable of for 62 year, but keep in mind if the game was fairly judged and played, the Swans would've simply outplayed and outclassed the Dogs in what would've been a rightful victory. If the game was fairly judges which is wasn't, I do not concede the fact the dogs have the talent, capability and accessibility to beat the swans in a correctly judged match, but the outcome of the 2016 Premiership would be completely different and the cup would lay in the hands of a more deserved team. I do congratulate the Bulldogs on an incredible milestone and many records that they broke and made this finals series, such as beating the 3x reigning premiers in the Hawks, and winning the cup, but they didn't completely deserve it this year, because the swans have fought for so long to win some cups but it seems to me and many other supporters that because they are one of the two Sydney teams, that they are targeted by Melbourne teams and fans and umpires too!

I can just feel Footscray going absolutely bananas in the streets, all the way from New jersey, starting with that holding the ball on Buddy into long goal with 5 mins left
