A few weeks ago, Dr. Oren Amitay, who has been defending me in online discussions hosted by the Ontario Psychological Association, invited me to address his psychology class (to which other students were invited). We discussed freedom of speech, ideological possession, unconscious bias and the Implicit Association test, and other issues germane to psychology and the modern world.

I think a deeper issue is that everybody should already know half the things he states, or have some idea about it, at any rate, which is part of his overall point. However, it's clear he has noted that large groups of people and systems, too, either have no idea or are simply ignoring them, such as free speech. Speaking of which, we know that most people under the age of 35 as of 2019 don't really believe in freedom of speech now, which is insane and completely unstoppable for anybody aged 20 or under in said systems, states, and sometimes, entire countries (mostly because it is being backed by law, which tends to mean force or at least legal action).

I'm attending a hyper-liberal college down here in the States and hearing the things that people parrot to each other here sometimes drives me up a wall. Your videos keep me sane and keep me asking questions. Apart from helping me recognize and articulate exactly why I have always instinctively been suspicious of identifying with sub-groups of humanity, I was raised atheist and you are the first person to ever make me look at religion with anything less than a dismissive stance. Thank you so much for uploading your curriculum, you have spent a long long time to develop the kind of articulation of being that you possess and it is so very appreciated. Much love.

About Religion, it´s basically the same for me, only I was raised secular technically protestant christian and just left later. There are many holes Religion fills and many ways it (negatively or positively) impacts a persons and society, but I have realised there is net to nothing religion can do that something else can´t do and there is nothing that can do as much as religion does. Especially when you look at communism you see how dogma is possible without religion and dogma is usually the go to answer to "why religion is bad" and what it is subsequentially reduced to. But it fulfills many other things in society that have to or can be taken over by something else. The question is what will take what place. Yeah, little ramble...

I am behind you Peterson. ALL the way. You are the voice that has lived in my head, watching insane behaviour and feeling that I must suffer in silence. Your courage is an adherence to common sense, the truth and the ability to see how this philosophical pollution has come about. Yet courage is also demonstrated in your fearlessness in standing up to threats to silence you. You are opening the vault to allow freedom to return to education, politics and society in general. There was only one candidate off of the top of my head that actually deserved to win and would have bettered America - Rand Paul. Sanders would've bankrupted you, Clinton would've sold you out, Rubio would've been manhandled by the dominant voices wherever, Cruz would piss of most foreign leaders, and Trump is a walking disaster. I'll give him credit in one area - he has the right idea about taxation. Aside from that, he's a bloody farce. @@theoneilovemost I am sure that he is upset about the current state of the world, which is precisely why he is "whining" as you put it, or thoroughly discussing the problems, explaining them and drawing attention to them, which is how I would describe it. Which is, in my opinion, the best way to act. The man has the courage to speak up for what he believes is right. I'm not sure how that is not doing anything about the problems. Do you expect more radical action? And of which kind? Precisely which ideologies and techniques do you mean, and when does he use- and abuse them? if you watch more videos youll see he recycles thoughts. When you include the idea that you can derive some axioms and stick to them and build your understanding of the world around them then you can answer a wider array of questions than each individual idea originally could as you have a solid base to project from. So he's accurate when he says he cant answer because he hasnt thought about it properly yet, that means the question is too off his established base he would be guessing too much and would be likely to say something inaccurate or contradictory.

ConstantinDV I think you are only partly correct . It's not just people like these we need. WE ALL need to be more courageous like them so that everybody can stop the atrocities (that are on the way) from occurring. Either from the current out cry of the evil that is the communist scum pretending to be otherwise. Or, another thing we should be cautious of is our very common reactionary response in America to SEE an evil and become just the opposite. And the opposite to those people can be just as bad. We simply have to be more aware of ourselves. And we MUST learn to listen.

Sun bro You can actually legally change your registered gender based on a doctors note. For that, you simply have to state that your biological sex does not express your actual gender. Once you are registered as female, you can apply for insurance based on that. And if anyone in the insurance companie questions your self-assumed gender, they are basically violating the law. So, without making any jokes here, just factually answering your question: yes.

Deltassippi Well, even as a Christian, Peterson often looks at religious works with the psychological lens which is how his biblical series actually got popular after his initial fame. He talks about how students really appreciate an secular look into theology that doesn’t really happen in churches or ever explained b preachers: The view of the Bible being a meta narrative and taking it on from there in a psychological context spreads those ideas in the manner that it should be taken in instead of too many literalists and emphatics who thump about this or that interpretation being the one true way. Peterson takes the words and instead of putting on another overarching narrative himself to drive a point like a pastor, reverend or preacher, he simply analyzes what’s there based on empiric theory. That’s the Peterson difference. It’s what helped me appreciate Christianity as a culture as opposed to hating it as an ideology. I still think the work is fiction, but I don’t think less of it for being fiction. It’s a wonderful metaphorical piece of work that combines myths from many societies to create meta figures that give people a broader understanding of culture, literature, and archetypes.

kimmie Wise Your summation of the series objective is great. I can't help, having read the bible, notice Jordan time and time again displaying to be someone of knowledge. You have to have read it to know what I am talking about. I do agree emphatically that churches are a seeming poor representation. *edit* I mean they have gotten so far away from what the text says through the dogmentation (is that a word?) of their ideology that they believe in a trinty. *end edit* They seem to mean well but fall into creating their own ideologies. I recommend that you read the whole darn thing cover to cover at least once and then judge for yourself. I assure you if you approach it openly; the depth of the text is quite unsearchable. Might I suggest you go with the hotel version a.k.a. the Gideon's Bible. In Jordan's spirit, if you haven't read it; you are the one criticizing the one who cleaned their room. Cheers!

Maybe if he could condense it to one sentence but to me he excels at saying simple things in complicated ways. A sentence becomes an epic and I don't end up disagreeing but rather losing interest in him. He's also a bit retro - psychology tends to end at Jung for him.

I'd rather not make a role model out of a being that sent one of his angels down to impregnate a woman against her will, stand by and watch his son be murdered by his own creations, turn his back to, effectively, his right-hand man and cast him down from heaven, then stand idly by while the world burned at his feet. Sorry but, there's a lot more wrong with an omnipotent being than there is with the common man. For one, we're not all corrupted with the power of being the almighty creator of everything-that-has-existed-ever with the power to do anything. Not to quote a song, but I feel this fits pretty well to my views about God in general: "I don't want to start any blasphemous rumors, but I think God has a sick sense of humor and when I die I expect to find him laughing." - Depeche Mode

This is brilliant stuff. And I say that as a Transsexual (medical condition) female (post operative) NOT a 'woman' (as defined by the 'transgender community'). I am NOT 'transgender', as I feel my gender hasn't changed - I behave in much the same way that I did pre 'transition'. I don't know WHY I am transsexual, and perhaps my mother took a painkiller at a sensitive point in my gestation - and for anyone that thinks THAT couldn't have such drastic repercussions - I suggest you look up Thalidomide'); Like I say - I have NO idea where this initial thoght came from - I only know that it was there and then serisouly fucked my life up for decades afterwards. So in one way I have been 'cured'. As an aside, I have never been much interested in sex. Not even with myself, and yo are more likely to find me wearing jeans and a T shirt and perhaps playing the drums; I rarely wear makeup and high heels... though I like to on ocassion, (it the occasion fits and is appropriate) and *actually* don't scrub up too badly. The thing about transgenderists is that they have foisted a LIE of a 'spectrum', but they are, (as far as 'M2F' are concerned) transvestites that have fetishised both my experience of life and the cultural 'gender role stereotype' that is prevelent in the Western world - usually predicated by sexual preference and clothing fetish. I have met many of them, and generally find them to be zealously filled with dogma about their beliefs and reticent about the *actual* science regarding my admittedly rare experience of life. I have been called 'transphobic' and a 'bigot' because I refuse to swallow their dogma hook, line and sinker... it really *is* THAT insane. I couln't care less what consenting adults get up to in the privacy of their own homes - but it has NO business being elevated into Law or politics. Sorry - but there you have it - and from my experience the whole thing has been predicated by Leftist thinking in the Gay community by those with distinctly Marxist leanings. I *am* a Democratic Socialist by the way, and believe in Freedom of Speech and would defend the rights of anyone to abuse me in the harshest terms possible that they can think of - as it is, after all; only words. I have no need for a 'safe space' with regard to what people may choose to say about me. What you say about running a business is SPOT ON too. I Had a *small* boutique digital media company before the crash and regularaly worked 20 hour days.

Yeah. Right. I had a mortgage to pay, and was working with New York PR companies from London at the same time as bing a single parent in a 1 bedroom flat and spent 5 years sleeping on the floor so my son could have his own space. You should try it. This was before my 'transition' as it's referred to in the vernacular from 2003 -2008 and I made a shed load of low rent music videos to help out struggling emerging artists for fun to get me away from the insaniy of doing dull corporate work back in the day when hardly anyone else even knew how the internet worked... I have literally never heard arguments so complete, and so widespread in length and breadth of topic. This man has literally said in the most perfect words many things many people around the world already believe and want to express. Thank you Jordan. You are a fucking genius. The things that makes this so brilliant are numerous, however, what makes it truly impressive and tractional is how you can clearly see him fighting with himself to support both sides, yielding conclusions he has evidently spent a long time arguing with his own findings and experiences to reach. He is a social philosopher of modern times comparable with the ancient greats. And the science behind it makes it even stronger, even as he discusses the science itself being flawed to actually support conclusions. Absolutely love that aspect of it. His entire lecture is basically "Your arguments with each other should be taken with a pinch of salt. Here's a whole fucking bags worth. Good luck keeping your opinion now!"
