I found this video to be outstanding. I have read the manual a number of times but this made everything clear immediately or I could go back 10 seconds and repeat which I did a number of times. Straightforward and direct. I didn’t think I could last an hour on a video like this but I did. Lexus should use this an a sales tool and an introductory video. It was excellent.

Mr. Frady, based on your review we purchased this RX - exactly as the one you review here - the Atomic Silver, Clover Wheels with all the same options. My wife and I just retired and we are using the RX for trips across the US in the RX. So far, we have taken trips from our home in San Antonio to Pennsylvania and to Mississippi. The vehicle has been excellent. I love the cruise control function with sensors for travelling on Interstate highways. Thank you for the extensive review of the vehicle, it helped us make the decision to purchase the 17 RX350.

Thank you so much. Lexus should hire you for your professional presentation and tutorial of RX350. You did a fantastic job of highlighting hidden gems in the SUV and answering questions as to what each button/icon on the dashboard means. I feel so much more in command of my Lexus. No longer will I fumble to find the brights at night or even the simple task of putting on the rear window wash. What I would love now is a tutorial for their stereo system.(e.g., setting presets, stations, removing presets, etc.) and tutorial of their GPS system. Lexus has dropped the ball on educating the consumer to the beauty of their SUV. You’re the bomb.

Loved your review! I bought a 2017 RX 350 a year ago and want to touch on why I got it. I live in the Rockies. Snow and steep mountain roads are quite common. The only way to get up the snowy roads is to put press the locking differential button, press the other button to disengage the traction control and put the car manually in second gear. I've been in 4WD vehicles that did not have the ability to disengage the traction control and could not get up the hill. Also, when going down winding mountain roads, I downshift for breaking. I like downshifting with the shifter instead of paddles. I don't drive with my hands on the ten and two o'clock position and loose track of where the paddles are when turning the wheel.

thanks for the in-depth demo. My 2006 RX330 has many of these features,less the extensive electronic/computer capabilities/featyres. My Lexus is paid for, so I am Reluctant to move up right now. The 2006 has several features the 350 doesn't have. A sliding front center console, and two hidden storage bins that I can stash my weapons in. My back seats also move forward and back. I discovered this one day when I needed to gain some more room to sit. I'm 6' 5" and when I moved thew back seats further back, I could sit behind the driver, Even me. Plenty of headroom also. Lexus really did a fantastic job on the RX. I would like the 350's extra HP, but like watching the MPG readout when going 70-85 MPH. I see 24-26 Mpg on an X-country drive and that's using Regular gas. I tried the premium on a return trip and saw no difference in MPG or performance, /So why is there a premium label on the gas cap? 99% of my driving speeds are under 70MPH, I did hit 115 on I-95 once in 129,000 Miles. Is the RX 350's engine so fussy? You do a fine job for Lexus.

automatic parking brake is really a nice feature to avoid rocking back and forth. However I suggest to disengage this feature in very cold weather. The moisture on brake pad can freeze and jam those brakes!

two points: 1. The preset destinations do not have name tags; only icons so if you have say, multiple hotels you cannot see which is which. 2. The steering wheel controls for radio stations only goes through your preset stations, it does not seek stations. On a cross country trip, it's useless.

By the way, for those that like using the Remote start feature, you can use Alexa voice command now to lock/unlock car and start car. Just need to activate the Lexus skill in the Alexa app. No need to go through the Enform App anymore. And I don’t think the Alexa skill has an expiration date like the Enform Remote feature.

Should I buy the hybrid version ? Reliability and maintenance cost ? Any known issues with lexus hybrid ? And just to let you know that I saw this videos maybe 4 times, tons of info , thx a lot

Great question. The reliability and maintenance costs are the same for both vehicles. The only difference that you may see is if you own a hybrid version for more than about 150,000 miles. You may have to purchase a battery pack but that is a big MAYBE. Personally, I prefer the non-hybrid RX350 because I like the way the 8 speed transmission feels as compared to the Continuous Variable Transmission. BUT, both vehicles are incredibly reliable.
