I have now about 500 miles on bike after outer baffle removal. Also put the k&n kit on with the Vance Tuner. Ran the tuner mode and it fine tuned the bike. Runs great! Wouldn't change a thing. Anyone else have any luck on their end?

Hey brother...tuner mode meaning auto tune? Man I spotted your post on Ig And I was curious on what your next step was gonna be.....right to where I am at with my bike and tuner! The tune I have now was put on by one of the Vance and Hines techs over the phone....im not happy with it...I can hear a slight choke and it just doesnt feel 100%. I will hopefully take an hour ride today and place it on auto tune to see if it magically sets my bike to where it needs to be...great video! ✌

@@KRoDz-rd4ec yes, sorry it is the auto tune. I did a actually 3 separate sessions on auto tune before I confirmed the tune. Sooo worth it. Definitely made a huge difference each time I did it.

@@streetglidespecials I have a 2015 103 roadking. I have stock pipes with slip on 36in fish tails... I just put baffles in them cuz the back firing was very obnoxious and by far didnt soung right. I just tuned it to stock HD with air filter and bike ran good. But not sure if was just a good day or if that tune is what I need.. I went to auto tune and it gave me 3 options. One i didnt understand....any way to post what auto tune you selected? Please and thanks!!!!

I know this is an old video but I’m wondering if you vented the lower end through the transmission top. I had a 17 and vented it’s top and it smoothed out the motor big time. I am picking up another 17 next week and it looks to have the stock mufflers on it. I will be going this route should they still have their baffles in them.

Hard to hear it with your camera mic. I have a '17 ultra thats bone stock. Im torn between ordering a set of S&S MK45 slip ons... or butchering my stock mufflers to end up ordering the S&S mufflers later and realizing i destroyed the stock mufflers🤣

Did you note any loss in back pressure? What about exhaust volume; was it significantly louder? I am looking to do the same but am considering install of DK Customs TTI for back pressure.

It’s so much easier to remove the mufflers 1 @ a time and use a 18 “ 1/4 rod and open up the center of the bafffle it is only crimped. That lets it breath more and a little better sound .it really woke up my 21 st.glidespecial

What do you mean by a ‘rod’? Is it a 1/4” drill bit?

@@boblafountaine9560 I worked in a body shop , just happened to have an old trunk lid spring cut it to 18” and ground it to a point

I assume once you make the 18” x 1/4” Rod and grind it to a point, you then hammer it through the center crimp. ?

@@sheepdoglogic I’m guessing the same thing unless you just use a 1/4” bit with an 18” extension. Not sore why it has to be 18” long though unless it’s supposed to take out part of the cat. If the tip is only 1/4 “ wide, how does that remove the baffle. We need more details.

I’m out in Spanish springs and just picked up a 2020 street glide. Is it a must to do the intake in order to remove the baffles? I’ve already punched both sides out, didn’t fully remove, just took a big pry bar and hammered through it before I saw your video. Let me know

Not the exhaust mod, but the FP3 voided the warranty. CANNOT use an aftermarket tuner IF you want warranty

@2wheelpiracy What Bill Tucker stated is true, I have confirmed with the motor company. You can use any after market exhaust/Breather combination, but it has to be tuned with a screaming eagle tuner. If you use any other tuner your warranty will be voided. As soon as it is hooked up to the HD system in any dealers shop, it will see the ECM mapping modded and your VIN will flag and Factory and extended warranties voided. You can chose not to believe it, but that is your choice, be warned.

Does removing baffles from pipes do damage to the engine? I got a 2007 dyna super glide with extremely loud pipes... me personally I love the loud sound But I got a friend telling me I should get some slip ons or something with baffles so I have back pressure on the engine I guess if there’s no back pressure it’ll blow up or wreck your engine? He brought up an example where his friends had the same engine as mine and they rode way way harder than me to where every gear they upshifted to was like 8000rpms. And they blew their engines out So anyone ?

It’s up to the individual dealership what they decide to do in that situation. I’ve heard/read horror stories about voided warrantees, but I don’t think they’d void it over a simple stage 1 diy. Maybe some of y’all go to a shitty dealership? Mines been awesome so far. Also, that warranty likely isn’t long enough coverage to do you any good anyway.
