Im going to be honest. I was driving today and saw this car for the first time, and I had no idea Audi made an S6 model. It's an incredible balance between sport and elegance without the flashiness. Seriously nice looking car. This or a GTR (2013-2015)? I'm not sure. Both incredible cars

Sweet. Love the styling, not over the top, just enough to point to something special but otherwise a sleeper. And that interior with quilted seats is an amazing place to be. One of the best daily beasts to own period, I especially love that you can always put all the power down.

Would love to upgrade from my A6 to this beast. STAGE 1 and you are under 4.0s. Favorite factory wheels on the planet. I don't like the differential tint but that is a personal choice. The rings on the sides are ghetto tho.

I was so close to purchasing the S6, then after some research I found out about a very bad carbon build up that occurs , I settled for the less potent A6 3.0T but still has plenty of power. But the S6 is a fantastic performing car.

I think this is a beautiful motor vehicle. Love the new external lighting system, BUT the interior has not changed a lot from back in the mid 2000's. I don't agree with the current engine selection for these vehicles either. Its all very well trying to stay up with Benz and BMW, but I always thought Audi were technically superior to both these manufacturers. Going away from naturally aspirated engines can spell disaster and heap more cost on the buyer if the manufacturer hasn't got it right. I own 2 Audi's. My everyday drive is a 2001 A4 B6 2.0ltr which I have spent a few bucks on to bring it back to spec. It drives really good and is very reliable. My other Audi is a 2006 S6 5.2 V10. It has just clocked 110,000kms and is in mint condition. I love this car and was sad to see Audi finish with this motor in 2011. Its a great motor, HEAPS of power and reasonably easy on the pocket. The car itself is a nice ride and has all the Audi extra's afforded in the time frame. But it bugs me that Audi haven't designed a better motor for it's vehicles. Eg. The A8L, still using the W12 motor, and a good and reliable engine. Come on Audi, lead don't follow.

Considering my comment was made 4 years ago, a lot has changed since then. I now own a 3.2lt V6 A6 as my daily driver and it is a great vehicle I run it on 100 octane fuel and it loves it. It gets serviced at 10000 kms and is in great shape. The love of my life is my 2006 Audi S6 5.2lt V10, I take it to the race track as it is too dangerous to run it at speed on the roads here in NZ. The one fault I find with this engine is the direct injection. Because there is no "wet" going into the intake ports the carbon build up is going to hinder engine performance and cost a pretty penny to restore. Hence the reason for running the car on the race track. I would dearly love a S7 V8 bi turbo but prices in NZ put the car out of reach at the moment.

NICE! I'd like a high-end cloth, alcantara or micro-fiber option instead of animal skin (aka leather). If available i'd buy one of these, but probably going to go with Audi S4 which has (mostly) alcantara interior option available.
