If we were to make these noises on the field in my marching band, we'd get our cheeks clapped by the drum major and director. We arent allowed to make any sounds.

Great job on the solo, especially your first C after having changed and ascended the steps with barely enough time to take a breath! Consequently, a nice fat and pitched C, no wavering with a velevty flugel sound. Not just a trumpet player playing a flugel, as strange as that might sound to non-brass. What make of flugel is that btw? Love the finish! Cheers, hope you didn't age out. I did in '81.
@michaelsowell1536 жыл бұрын

I don't know why pretty much every possible camera angle of this performance has been showing up in my recommended feed, but I'm pretty damn happy it is. I played trumpet in my high school band, so this one was particularly interesting to me. That said, my high school was a tiny school in rural Australia, so... the standard was not quite the same :P Also as far as I'm aware marching bands are absolutely not a thing in this country, apart from strictly military, processional affairs. It really does seem like a very strange (but awesome) type of musical performance.

@@mxtty5633 Ahh man life happened unfortunately, I did start to get into decent shape but after training I had a situation where I input something wrong on my college application, and ended up having to choose between starting school in the summer or touring with my corps. I couldn't miss out on getting into my dream college. I went there for a year, marched a bit in the early season before classes and work got too hectic. I took some time off college after the first year for financial reasons and now I am 21 with my own apartment working remote at a credit union. Once I am in a comfortable position with funds I am getting a gym membership because I want to get back on the health grind, my weight and health have fluctuated a lot since college and I am looking to get into some other nerdy hobbies like HEMA and LARP, so I want to make some casual progress towards getting in and staying in shape.

It’s incredible, I just think the guy who played it didn’t want to worry about a headcam on top of his three horns lol. He did a baritone solo, trombone solo, and then marched a different trombone for the trombone feature in part three. He had to carry three horns and mic up two for every show.
