@@tanero2882 Typically, drum corps brass staffs want us to blow through the center of the horn, then they fix the sound from there. The mouthpiece I was on is a big reason why I sounded like that. Also, GoPros are terrible for picking up the actual tone of instruments.

Mike the piccolo trumpet was only for one part of the show that happens at around the eight-minute mark I think. And you can't really see the piccolo trumpet very well because my headcam was angled too high. For the rest of the show I played upper split lead trumpet

I- Kissxv2k A piccolo trumpet is basically a tiny version of a trumpet that plays an octave above a regular trumpet. It has four valves so it can play lower notes and makes it easier to play high notes, but it doesn't actually increase your range or anything like that.
