Did you use a regular rubber hose for the broken coolant line from the Coolant tank? If so what diameter? Mine is cracked and having trouble finding one. Thanks

Which one?? You’re referring to b58 or b38 engine? All hoses you get from dealer oem, for b38 engine they sell rubber ones

yep. Mine started leaking at 120k. It's a flawed design. On my mercedes 1997 no coolant leaked in 23 years and 200k km. Also asked how much they would charge for work at my dealer. They said 190€ for work and 180€ for material (tank + cap). For 30 minutes of work. Yes you don't have to remove everything as this guy did in the video, such as reinforcment bar. Some guys even remove the wheel. Anyway buy aftermarket material and do it yourself and you'll save 270€.

Design flaw?? 120k isn’t that little in fact by todays standards. Your Mercedes cooling system temps are around 90C and pressure is low, that’s the reason it lasted longer, but fuel efficiency and power isn’t close to modern cars. BMW today runs even 110-115C to save on fuel, hope it answers your question properly.

I noticed leaking coming from directly under the tank, will replace it very soon and see if it fixes the issue, just hit 70k miles.

This leaky expansion tank was not original for being Uro parts. This means this was second replacement for this car. Mine failed at just over 40k right after warranty expired.

You’re talking about the car in the video? Original tank, you see in the beginning of the video, was replaced with uro tank, original lasted around 80k or so. Question is not about miles only, but age. Video was made for you after new tank was put in place
