This was very helpful - same process for a 2019 XTS - hardest part was getting the battery out of the box since it didnt have a handle on it coming from factory. 10 min job total - thanks for the help!

I had opened the flap and disconnected the positive cable then couldn't figure out why the cover wasn't coming off....your video showed what to do next!

I was REALLY glad you did this video. I need to get my battery out of my 2013 XTS and I had no idea what to do with that positive cable cover. Made me feel pretty girly. Thank you!

Wow. You did an awesome job with this video. You are right on with taking this off and for the life of me you got 341 views and only me and two other people gave you a thumbs up. Those folks that saw this video and didn't give you a thumbs up should be ashamed of themselves. I looked through GM documentation on removing the battery and your video helped way more than GMs docs. Awesome job.

What are you talking about? This guy gave the worst directions didn’t show most of the work he did wasn’t clear about how he was performing the tasks. He was performing. This is one of the worst videos I’ve ever seen. Why would anyone be giving it a thumbs up? he didn’t even spray WD-40 or anything to prevent stripping. This guy has no idea what he’s doing.

Where’s the other video⁉️ I just took my battery apart watching this one and went to skip to the next and couldn’t find it. 😳😩😅🥴

FYI that wall between the battery, and the front grill that hold the battery down. You can unclip it for easier access to the 13mm bolt instead of using and extension ratchet, and you don’t have to take off the back of the positive terminal bolt just the bolt clipped to the battery.

I'm having the same problem with my Cadillac xts 2017 is the extra charge next the positive does it goes bad? Because my road side service said my battery is good!!
@maxzquad93312 жыл бұрын
If your battery was tested and it's determined to be good. The problem could be the alternator, which is responsible for charging the battery after the car has started.

I tell ya, the 2-3 13m nuts under the plastic hinged part are a MF to release. Just started...they're pretty frozen...have them soaking in blaster at moment. Hopefully they'll break free before the plastic housing decides to break. Wish me luck. Thanks for putting your stuff out there. Take care!!

I wish you had started with how to remove the friggin cover. I'm completely stuck getting past "Step 1"... The cover. I can't get my manual out as the battery is dead and I cannot open the glove box for the manual. Other than that... good video...
