YTM meaning yeild to month but how it works..

Dear Priya, YTM is the acronym for Yield-To-Maturity. The yield to maturity is the yield expected if the underlying is held until expiry.

You can read it like, for the first four years investor will get 100 in each year and in 5th year he will be getting 1100 which includes 100 as interest and 1000 as repayment of originally invested amount. So he has earned 500 as an interest and got back 1000 as principal amount. Present value of all future cash flow including principal amount is 760.09.
