2017 Charger Hellcat Diode Dynamics Interior LEDs

I finally got around to changing the lighting on the interior to my Diode Dynamics 6000K led setup .. I had these bulbs from my last car and absolutely loved them so this was a no brainer .. this video just shows how a few of the bulbs go in, what they look like and also goes over an issue I had with a small change my car had for 2017 that I wasn't expecting but I found my own version of a solution to lol upgraded interior lighting, in my opinion, is a must !! hope you enjoy the video !!

Great video! Best part @ 11:44ish, If you love your woman more than you love your car, don't do this mod. (in regard to vanity lights) funny stuff right there. What I found works best is to rotate the bulbs inwards (almost to point that the panels are facing 180* out) so that the LED panels aren't directly in her face. You still get the led look and she'll be able to use the vanity without bitching about it being too bright. LEDS create little to no heat so no worries about melting anything on the lamp assy.

This was great, particularly knowing which size tools to use. Thank you! For doing the back seat lights (19:13) I recommend prying off the two larger, "rear" tabs first, and then the piece will slide right out of the front tabs. The rear ones are larger, much easier to undo, and there's much less risk of breaking one of the smaller front ones when trying to pry them off...they are pretty thin (I broke one).

Great vid. I have a 2016 Chrysler 300. I changed my interior lights to LED's a week ago. The map lights I couldn't change. Didn't know I could disconnect the map lights. Will be doing that in the coming days. Your vid is the only vid I came across in solving that ugly map light. Thanks bro.

When changing the overhead lights I recommend pulling the entire console off, ig you attempt to change the lights by removing the covers you will likely bend the reflector plates, and render the push to activate inoperable.

Halgoen interior bulbs is a needless cost-cutting IMO. It would only cost dodge a few bucks to use LED's. Even if they only put them in the SP/SRT/HC, they should be standard in those models.

Idk if you do any custom wiring but what I usually do for the foot-wells is put red LEDs that turn on with the parking lights / nighttime interior lights (usually works with the dimmer too). The red color isn't intrusive while driving and is quite helpful if you drop something at night. In most vehicles it provides a nice accent.

You've got it easy. I have to remove the headliner to get to the lights above the driver and passenger seat, and it's one of those circuit bulbs. Apparently you have to retrofit them from a Viper. Looks like I'm just going to leave them. Great detailed video!

@@Civilus I ended up tearing mine apart and painting the plastic caps that cover the map lights with blue paint. It solved the Yellow Map light color every time I opened the door. Also you can turn them on at night for a subtle blue light since the LED will blind you at night.

You don't need to remove the handle in the back, just remove the cover lens and replace your leds.I have a 2020 dodge charger and that's how I replaced my bulbs.

for the rear, you dont have to remove the whole handle. just take a flat head and pop off the clear covers.

Those lights that you couldn't figure out are your map lights. They only turn on when you press them. I'd just leave them in. It's too much to change them.

I encountered the same problem on the vanity lights...the rear bulb can't be changed but I couldn't stand the two different color lights, bright white and the factory yellow. I had to just cover the back bulbs with black electric tape and run just the front lights

I meant the map/dome lights with the rear circuit breaker bulb, not vanity. Dodge just makes everything harder to modify or upgrade, plug n play is not in their vocabulary

I actually found a way around the map lights with out disconnecting them, I purchase some gel sleeves from pep boys, and cut the to fit the light, only thing is mine r blue so it won’t wrk for you.

I saw SRTMUSH put one in his hellcat charger, but he didn't give any real information on where he found it, how he really installed it, etc. I don't know if dodge dealerships sell them as an oem part but I don't know. You can find the info, because I called the dodge dealership, and they wanted my vin #, but I don't own a mopar. Thanks

They put those ugly bulbs because they are cheap, and cut down on the price of the car....but I'd honestly pay extra to have LED's pre-installed from Factory. I mean the price difference for adding those bulbs shouldn't be that much anyway.

You dont yave to remove the torque #30. Just pop out clear cover and bam!! Done. No need to do all that extra. Just did mine and did the entire car in 10 mins.

Hey quick question regarding the overhead dome lights do you know how to make them not turn on when you open the door I feel like I've tried everything. I have a 2016 charger scat pack and its the only car I've ever owned that didn't have a simple switch to turn off the dome lights.

FICTION2333 on the dash to the left of the steering wheel near the trunk release button are some controls. I believe you can disable the lights inside all together by sliding the wheel down completely and they shouldn't come on
