2017 Chevy Silverado Windshield Washer Pump Replacement

I think the GM service procedure to replace the pump is easier, you don't have to remove the washer solvent reservoir or any trays/brackets/wheels.. You remove the LF headlamp and the pump is right there. You have to remove the grille (first remove 12 pushpins large plastic top cover, to get to 4 grille bolts along top, then pull grille firmly from one side to release the 8 spring clips.) Next there's 4 bolts for the headlamp, and the bottom outboard bolt is accessed by loosening the wheel liner. Pretty much all done standing up, except for that one bottom headlamp bolt, where you move the wheel liner a bit to reach it. With headlamp removed, you have great access to the pump which just pulls out of its grommet. Install with new grommet & tighten headlamp bolts to 6 Nm.

Skipped the part where you took the pump off, how do you do that?

Good question. You just grab on to the pump and pull it away from the reservoir. there is just a rubber gasket holding it in. Once you pull the pump any washer fluid in it will come out. Make sure to put a pan or bowl under it to catch it. Self filming didn't allow me to get that on video. Thanks for the question. I hope you will tell your friends and subscribe. Bruce

I just had to do one, theres one screw holding the box that holds down the plate. Once you remove that, the big black box should move freely just enough to get the plate out.
