@user-Gokulml5 жыл бұрын
Not too bad for h2r it's a 998 cc in line four supercharged engine has 326 hp and 0 to 400 km in26 sec . Ducati is 1299 cc and don't get wrong even it cant match the legend ZX10R 998 cc 210 hp and freaking Godzilla gone wild exuast and performance top speed 350+ 3 times less expensive than Ducati Japanese know how to make rocket

@ilmostro166 жыл бұрын
Haha, thanks Michael... the funny thing is that it's being broken in by a trained professional using Ducati's dyno break in procedure. What these folks don't understand (but still love to comment), is that a Panigale engine is a race engine and is not broken in the same way as a street engine. What is in the manual is for the average consumer doing a break in on the highway. When breaking in a racing engine on a dyno, in a controlled environment, you do it as shown.

Dry weight weight is 344 lbs. the stock 1299 S is dry weight 367 23 lbs different. Everything I read says empty weight to curb weight is around 50 lbs more. So the SL should weight curb / wet 394 lbs versus 417 lbs for the S. So 23 lbs & 10 hp = $55,000 extra OUCH !!!
@ilmostro167 жыл бұрын
Haha yeah, the difference definitely doesn't justify the money. But the cost is due to limited production run and materials. In other words, you're not only paying $55K extra for 23 pounds less weight and 10 hp more, but rather for the fact that most of the bike is carbon fiber and the thing is numbered, making it extremely exotic and exclusive and a collectors item. Same is true for the BMW HP4 Race, or for those "priceless" works of art which sell for millions and are nothing more than oil on canvas after all lol.

sanchalesh kadam The bike has a quick shifter and auto blipper, you don't have to blip the throttle or use the clutch manually at all, the electronics do it for you. Dyno of your own? @ilmostro167 жыл бұрын
Advertised figures are always at the crank and there is always loss between engine and wheel on all vehicles. So if your car has an advertised 300hp, it's going to be like 250-275 at the wheels on a dyno depending on the car and the dyno used. So a bike with 215hp showing 190 at the rear wheel is perfectly normal and to be expected.

@ilmostro167 жыл бұрын
JIGA BACHI personally, I don't know for sure what method is best, all I know is that hard break in is good for getting the piston rings to seat properly and assure maximum performance...not my bike in any case 😉
@ilmostro167 жыл бұрын
JIGA BACHI also, this video was taken on day 2... the day before this video, the bike was run in easier, but no one wants to watch a Superleggera rolling on a dyno at 5000 RPM 😉
@ferrarinogiallo7 жыл бұрын
JIGA BACHI Really a sad thing to see, I am no engineer but even a bicycle has 100kms of break in, there is reason why after the first 1000kms you have to change the oil,to seel the pistons you use the gas not the revs, this bike will never achieve the hp declared from the factory and the suspension and the brakes also have a break in period... 💀
@freeoj64627 жыл бұрын
+ferrarinogiallo ummm it's o.k. It's already been on Ducati's run in dyno before they start the odometer. Just don't go over to Brocks performance cause if you pussyfoot the dyno you can glaze the bore and will choke it from the get go.
@marbiz1877 жыл бұрын
Only way to break-in properly is to do it something along the way it was done in the video. To "ease" it in is really going to break anything in but rather create a glazed, poorly sealed cylinder. Bearings etc. need easing in for optimal break-in, but this should and will be done during the remainder of the "break-in period". The window of opportunity for creating an optimal piston-ring seal is while the cross-hatching is till rough enough to be able to "sand down" the piston ring. This ability disappears after a short period of time, and the window for creating the seal is gone. To take advantage of this you need to create high cylinder pressure in order to press the rings out against the walls - which isn't possible by just casually riding the bike/car or whatever you're breaking-in. Nobody "eases" in a race engine - nobody!

Actually it wasn't dreamed up out of nowhere, the procedure used was an official break-in procedure trained and certified by Dyno-Jet and approved by Ducati. But yes, it must be nice to be rich and pay people to break-in your bike for you! :)
