thanks Aaron. I too carry a bag daily into the office, and carry many similar things in it. I do include however, items from the vehicle emergency/get-home bag that I do not want to go through temperature extremes (it gets very cold here in the winter and very hot in the summer). Included are my carry water, pens and sharpies, batteries for all the equipment in the get-home bag, battery bank for the phone, food items that might melt or get nasty when they get really hot or freeze, etc. It all adds weight to what I call the "office bag", but I think it is worth it. This bag is carried into work, into church as I'm there for many hours on-end, into my home at the end of the day, and with me at anytime I will be away from the vehicle for like an hour or longer.

I had that exact bag. I was disappointed in it at first. I returned it and got the gamut plus and I am absolutely in love with it. I have almost the identical load out as you too. funny how that bag design can carry so much and still be low profile. I truly think I am done with my quest for the perfect bag........after almost 50 different packs I have owned. just a tip, all Molly pouches can work in it if you go to the home depot and but the roll of 1.5 inch one wrap Velcro and use strips as Molly clips. the bag has plenty of trico realestste for the hooks to stick to.

Just bought the backpack... I fell in love with it immediately then a watched a review and realized how versatile it really is. I got it for $150 (sorry didn't use your link I wanted to). So much for trying to stay away from impulse purchases...

Excellent video as usual! I have been using the Vertex Gamut Plus backpack for EDC for about a year and a half now. It has been a long time since I have liked a peice of gear this much! I keep an autolock climbing rated D carabiner on the left shoulder strap. A coworker asked if I was going to rapell out a window. I took it off and said "yeah, you could do that," slipped it over my hand and gently lowered it onto his thigh," the police tend to frown on brass knuckles" He grinned ear to ear..."sneaky bastard. " Tactical force magnifiers can take many different shapes! I did pick up a blue Kershaw Link, house of blades exclusive, that you reviewed previously. An excellent knife! But if you should drop it by accident, resist your reflex to reach for it! I pulled my hand back and thought"at least I didn't cut myself" as I picked it up off the floor. Then I saw all this red stuff running down my hand! Five stitches on the outer edge of my right pinky finger, and I didn't even feel it! I had taken my evening meds, which included an asprin, about an hour before, so I bled like the proverbial stuck pig! Left a trail all the way to the first aid kit in the bathroom! 11PM New years day, what a way to start the year! But I digress, Excellent video as I already said. I think it would be difficult to not be organized using this pack! Thanks again.

Boyd Hudson I just ordered the Plus, hoping it won't be too large for edc. Previously used the 5.11 Covert and currently using the Camelbak UAC but don't like the firearm access options for off body carry.

very similar to my own setup. very practical. i dont really buy into the whole "prepping" thing; but being prepared in general is something i am a firm believer in. i always just try to have 24 hours worth of stuff on me at all times. form of self defense, small tools like a multitool, water bottle, some long lasting high calorie snack bars and even some personal stuff like a tooth brush and toothpaste. Obviously i have alot more in my bag i think it is important to carry the basics at all times because you never know what your day will bring.

I like cars Just a note, your comment shows that you have a "prepper" mind set. Not all of us prepare for a zombie apocalypse, lol. It's sensible to be prepared for everyday life.

Gideon, here's my question; do you carry this into Walmart or restaurants, etc? I too carry an EDC bag that goes with me everywhere, actually I have several from along bags to full backpacks; all are setup the same but some are too heavy to carry everywhere yet they are always with me. I found walking around Walmart grocery shopping with a sling bag on became cumbersome. Great video, just wondering your philosophy of use.

I have a question for you. What bag would you suggest for Hunting, fishing, back packing, just outdoor rugged for weather and yet comfortable to wear in the field? Please note.... I live in Northwestern Ontario. Thank you very much in advance

How do you plan on using a headlamp with your firearm? I agree that for work tasks or for doing 1st aid a headlamp is incredibly useful. However, you absolutely need a quality flashlight to go with it, or failing that a weaponlight if the Shield will take one.

Nice! Good set up for an Urban Environment. Helpful Hint: throw in a pair of gloves in the Hoodie Compartment. Something like the Mechanix stuff so you don't cut your fingers if you ever have to deal with Broken Glass, Wood Splinters, etc. Oh, those Green Toothpicks? We use those all the time, and my Dentist LOVES me for it! But the Cases they come in are useful by themselves. Old School Match Books, Emergency Money Stash, Fish Hooks and Sinkers, Char Cloth, Handcuff Keys, etc. Hey, you paid for it, why not Re-Purpose it? Good Vid as usual.

What pack do you recommend for maybe a 1 day or half day hunt? Something I can strap a small forest axe on the side, and maybe a foam bedding pad underneath.., I'll also be carrying my rifle and sidearm.. They're is just way too many packs to choose from, I'm lost..?
@19ADAM807 жыл бұрын
I checked those out, which are nice, but are just too big.., anymore suggestions?

ADAM HENSON Honestly I myself went to Walmart and bought a Field Line 3 day pack. It's big enough to hold all my calls, snacks, field kit, knife sharpener, fixed blade, water bladder, lights, you name it, it's in my hunting bag. Actually went to Montana last year for a mule deer hunt, and we did a 3 day 2 night hike/pack hunt and it held everything I needed and then some. Highly recommended it!

Customer service is brutal. I purchased several items including 2 bags. I figured out what was going to work for me and sent a bag and 2 accessories back. They’ve had it for 2 weeks (ups tracking) and I haven’t been refunded. One lady lied 8 days ago and since then apparently only one person can look at it but unfortunately she doesn’t take phone calls or return emails. Never had that problem with Vanquest.

@chrisharpster30077 жыл бұрын
bob smith ballistically speaking, their is hardly any noticable difference between a 9 or 40. For a lower cost, you can buy 9. I EDC a Glock 19 daily, and numerous government agencies, spec ops contractors, law enforcement agencies, and time tested operators swear by it. Low recoil, easier follow up, and higher capacity due to a smaller package

Yea this bag sucks it's way too big for someone who is 5'7" and it's good for only a murse. All the gear he has in it now is maxed out. Much better bags out there for EDC they might not have the gun stash spot or the hook and loop. Just wish they built out with this bag instead of up. Also I wonder if he gets paid to make these videos. 200$ for a backpack is nuts.
