I have not watched the whole video yet but I see you live in Florida like me, so I wanted to ask: Do you have any problems taking this car to a Fiat dealer for servicing? I know they are reliable cars, but if you had to do servicing, can you have it done in Florida even though Florida is not one of the complaint states that originally sold this car?

Don't buy expecting to get 100 miles, i never got close. 60-75ish miles, all my trips include freeway, speed kills battery. Range estimator is worse than useless, i only use percent of charge. AC doesn't cut range much, heat does, use seat heaters. Fun car, spicy performance, works for me. 2015 Orange/white.

As I mentioned in this video, yes, High speeds will make the range much smaller. City Driving, however, will easily get you around 100 mile range. Check different forums on the Fiat 500e and you will see many owners that can get 100+ mile range when driving conservatively. Going Highway speed you will get in the 60s maybe 70s miles range on full charge... This is true to any EV car even Tesla will have WAY lower range when driving them Interstate speeds rather then city driving of 45-60mph.

I am surprised that you do not find the range estimator useful. Maybe when driving from highway into City or vice-versa it will probably not calculate supper precisely as again, the computer uses the past so many miles to calculate the average economy. When driving in highway speeds, you probably get in the 3s miles per kWh while in the city driving you should expect closer to 5 miles/kWh. This is a HUGE change/difference and hence the computer estimator is not able to recalculate the range correctly. I mainly drive these in rural and city settings with speeds between 40-60mph. My average is always in the mid to upper 4s mile/kWh when driving normally and can get it in the low 5 miles per kWh when I really try to get my efficiency up. The estimator seems to be pretty accurate in my opinion. ... I guess you could also look at other electronic devices like a Cell phone... a decent (newer) cellphone has a battery that will last about a full day before charging... however, try to watch a movie or play a high-end game on the phone... the battery will not last more than few hours. :) Same goes with Laptops, cameras, etc... :)

I think we agree, I have a different use case. Still very usable for me. I hate the term "city car" it's good on the freeway, very stable in rain.

@@rastlin4540 after I charge, estimator reads 100 miles, nope. The percentage always tells me the truth.

Does the navigation have any special features found only on the 500E? Like where charge points are or where your energy usage is going like the original 2014 tomtom.

Do the 2017s have a back up camera?
@rastlin45404 жыл бұрын
no. the 500e comes standard with back up sensors. backup camera was not available. I am not sure about the upcoming 2021 models.

Great car and one of the worst reviews I’ve ever watched.
