Makes sense, I probably would replace both if it would be a little bit older vehicle. The reason I was replacing the driver side because it was damaged in the accident so I think the other one still have a few years to go.

What type of bulb do you use for reverse light, is it 7443?

I didn't have to change the bulb so I wasn't looking. I'm sure AutoZone people easily can answer this question, that's were I normally buying bulbs for my vehicles.

@@VasylGladun Did it. Hers is a 2016 Escape SE. It was slightly different from yours. I removed the plastic as you did but then I only had 1 10mm nut per side and the black clip that I had to squeeze to release the lens housing. No long white screw or nut on left side like yours.

Maybe, but I think there's a chance to crack plastic parts doing it that way.

Christ and i thought the outer taillight was work. Luckily I'm changing the inner assembly completely because moisture leaks inside of them... But still.
