I just don't understand with such a big country why Austraila don't produce or design any of their own cars apart from Joss, I mean here in the UK, England we have are US like Holden GM companies & ford like Vauxhall's & Fords but then we have Mclaren, Bently, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, MG, Range Rover, Rover, because really apart from Joss every Australian car company Holden Ford ext is American, I'm sure with so many minerals the Australian government can back an Australian car company like US gov did with GM, or somebody go out there them selfs with a design & get investors it's easy but hard because right now Africa is making more cars than what Australia is making of there own. come on guys you can do it if you want a little hard work for a very big mile stone.

A lot of those manufacturers you mentioned aren't British anymore and most of those cars are sold to other countries as well, even Australia. Even if they were made in England and sold in England only they would be selling to a lot more people than Holden sells too. The Commodore is sold to around 26 million people (Australia and New Zealand combined) whereas the England has 53 million people which is around double what Australia and New Zealand has for a population. And combine the declining sales of Holden Commodore's and Ford Falcon's also it makes sense why they are going to stop making them given where the car market is going which is into smaller crossover type vehicles. They are basically selling a car for a market the size of the population of California in the USA

Red SS Im glad you like them. Im sad that our country has failed to support some very good cars, Holden Commodore and Calais, and the Ford Falcons. Especially the Falcon XR6 Turbo and non-turbo as well as the supercharged 5 litre XR5. Im looking at purchasing something like a 2016 Holden Commodore SV6 Sportswagon. I think that will suit my needs.

In early jan 2020 i was looking online to see if there was still any vf ssv redlines available and was shocked to see you could still buy them new from holden dealers with only new car km's on them i.e. 20kms or less , and some of these cars were the MotorSport Edition , i was so close to buying one as they were selling for around the 60K mark as i missed not having my VE SSV anymore , but stupid me didnt bite the bullet and then 6 weeks later GM closes down the HOLDEN name and now they are worth 90K........ DOH!!!

There are three Holden VF Commodore Special Edition models The Magnum Ute, The Motorsport Sedan and The Director Luxury Sedan and They come with a 6.2l V8 engine and a Choice of Manual and Automatic Transmission For the Motorsport Sedan and Magnum Ute and The Director Luxury Sedan get the Automatic Transmission only.🚘

These are final limited edition models with alot of heritage and nostalgia behind them and we have the ss aswell as a entry level sport model. If anything america is getting ripped off as they don't get any hsv models where we 550hp wagons and 600hp+ sedans and utes

Well I drive past a holden dealership everyday I go to work and they have had the same limited edition hsv maloo r8 and sv black sitting on display for nearly 3 months now. They will NEVER sell those if a commodore producing the same power can be purchased for at least 10k cheaper. And besides you could wait a little bit buy one second hand with low k's after someone else took the depreciation hit save a few grand and spend your savings on modding the car to beyond 340 kw

More of these so called 'limited edition' cars. They aren't going to be worth anything Holden have been saturating the market lately with these special editions (like the craig lowndes edition and the sandman vf). The only modern Holdens/HSVS that are gonna be worth anything are the limited built in the hundreds, stuff like the sv99 sv300 sv6000 VX GTS VT GTS VY GTS and the HSV Coupes. VE onward there really hasnt been anything other than maybe the SV08 and the W427 thats truly a limited edition car.
