The 2017 Blade easily has a tank range of 150 miles. I have had 175 miles recently on mixed roads.

Great review! I have a 17' black one I bought new in 19'. This is a wonderful all round machine for the street. It feels like a 600 to me! I had a 02 R1 and 05 ZX 636, and this is much nicer. This bike is very comfortable for a super sport bike, almost a lightweight sport touring bike believe it or not!. I'm 57 & 5'8" 150 and it fits me like a glove. The refinement, ergos and linear power is too die for! Of course Honda fit & finish is top notch. I got mine in California for 14k OTD, which was a killer deal!

Thank you for the review. Three months ago I switched from a CBR125 to a 2017 Fireblade and it was mind blowing. You just have to be sensible when riding it and respect the power that is at your disposal to avoid killing yourself

Love your videos and just became a subsciber :-) I think you are spot on with your observations even after riding sport bikes for a short period of time. I own a Suzuki Hayabusa and Honda CBR 600. I am getting older so my wrists and back get sore on all day rides. And I have been eyeing CB500X as the replacement of Hayabusa but I will probably never sell CBR 600 due to its "magic" sensation that you described. How would you compare V-Strom 650 to CB500X? Keep up the great work!

thanks for the kind words buddy. what a great bike! the V-Strom and CB500X are different bikes so hard to compare them fully, but the V-Strom 650 although a fab bike, i prefered the 1000 version. The CB500X is awesome fun and id say it depends what you want from the bike at the end of the day, they will both tour and you can have fun on them both, although fun id take the CB and touring id take the V-Strom :)

@@CrusaderGeneral I'm coming off of a Ducati Streetfighter V4S and it's the loudest stock bike you can probably buy right now! I have sets of ear plugs in every pocket of my riding gear and packs. Question: is the SP a huge upgrade from the 2017 ABS?

I'd love to see you give it the beans! I've owned big tourers (RT, Pan) adventure bike (Africa Twin) offroad bike (XR450) and sports bikes (Fireblades, ZX7R) sports-tourer (VFR) and currently own a 2015 S1000RR. I've ridden a few GSs, most recently a 2017 GS A - and hated it. The engine feels really dull. Admittedly low revving power is what is needed, but I'd forgotten just how agricultural it felt and sounded next to a 4cyl engine. The quick shifter on it was also dreadful when compared to the S1000RR. Most of all the weight of it put me off - I get that on RTs and Pan Europeans etc, but for what is supposed to be a dual purpose bike, I don't see why you wouldn't just get an RT. Anyhow, yes the sports bike is a seeming misnomer on the road, however what is interesting (for me at least) is that the modern sports bikes are also nice to ride at lower speeds. The 2004 Fireblade was horrible at less than 9 10ths, whereas the 2015 S1000RR is quite happy around town, and with throttle mapping in soft (rain) mode, is actually very rewarding in urban areas. Setting the electronic suspension to soft virtually turns it into a sports tourer. Whilst I like the power of it, what I really like over the GS et al, is the light weight and responsiveness.

Thanks for the comprehensive comment matey. Will have to look for a faster road to open it up. I love motorbikes as there is something for everyone. Just awesome 😎 The two engines are totally different but your right that the 4 cyl engine is much smoother but the GSA has improved since the air cooled version immensely. I love my GSA but totally get why people like the sports bikes which riding this bike really showed me. A fun bike to ride indeed but I’ll stick to my GSA so I keep my licence. Hehhehe. Ride safe matey

Hi RiderCamTV . How is the heat coming out from the engine? I am planning to get a liter bike but the heat from the engine really stop me from getting a liter bike. I have ridden the Street Triple RS (765cc) and i could not stand the heat when riding slow in the traffic and sitting on the traffic light. Does this bike have the same heat problem? What about other liter bikes? BTW i m from Malaysia, a hot country. I m riding a CBR650F and does not have the engine heat problem. Thanks
@RiderCamTV
@RiderCamTV 5 жыл бұрын
hey Victor, thanks for the question. We did not notice any extra heat coming from the bike, although our climate is a lot cooler than Malasyia, so couldnt say for sure for you, but certainly not anything that we noticed.
