Do I have to put in premium for the sport models? Or can I just put regular and not as as much performance?

Tech Defender Premium only.

No, according to the owner's manual premium is recommended. If you use regular, it may occasionally knock and will have reduced performance. However it will not damage the engine unless you use less than 87 octane fuel.
